I have a 2005 F-250 with air bags on it. I'm looking into a new fifth wheel toy hauler, Fuzion 369.. I know my truck is rated for 15,500 and the trailer is gvw is 16,700 should I just upgrade gears or I was thinking of getting a F-350 Dually used of course. Any advice would be great

I doubt that, plus the higher cost of big truck service and repairs...not in my future!!

when I bought my 5th wheel we had a 2011 F250 that was bagged, it did ok, BUT it was over weight. Bought the F350 drw and so glad I did, no worries just pack up and tow in comfort!

Good luck with the new truck!

Oh man. You won't believe how well that truck will tow your trailer.
You will have a big grin on your face.
Good job on that purchase.
That was the right way to go.

Nice work!! And being a holdover with a new model out, you probably got a great deal.

Good luck, hope the new setup works.

what does the trailer actually weigh? if a lot less than 16,700 and you pack light it could be under the limits.

I personally refuse to adjust my packing dependent on my truck's capacity.

Just get the right truck and don't worry about silly stuff like "will I be able to carry those 3 extra pillows?"

sure get a F 550 and never worry about it.

Funny you should say that. A few tears back I was looking to replace my 94 F350 dually IDI with a powerstroke. I cam across A 1999 F550 that already had a pickup bed conversion. Payload 17,500 towing 26000.
Best move I ever made. Is it overkill sure but exact same size as the F350 except under the skin. Well and the 19.5 tires. I got a VERY good deal and only cost marginally more than the F350's

Ditto

And it really needs to be a dually, and I would do a diesel.

I'm gonna start looking into a Diesel Dually.

My F350 dually is more than capable of doing what I need.
