Alternate locations for flagpoles

I want to add a flagpole to our new (ish) fifth wheel. Our old WW had a nice flat surface beside the ramp, but this one has a different shaped ramp. I’m looking for an alternative anyway so I don’t have to climb up onto the roof every time. Does anybody make a pole mount that latches onto the king pin? What other alternatives are available?

Here's the guy that made mine. He's in Quartzsite outside the main tent.

Here is the new bracket that I think is black anodized

Huh?.. what did I miss ?

Dave: Here's mine. I had the poles and holders and snapped it at the base, twice. They are warranted but that doesn't fix the problem. I still use the upper P&H bracket, but this one is what takes the load. Below is grey ABS, probably 3/16"+, painted and a zillion coats of clear to semi match the coach. As mentioned before, I found this from a guy in Q. He had a website: gotomycamp.com, but I think it's been changed. He built these things because he was having the same issues with the plastic ones. Hopefully I'll get there next week and get a card to send you

Dave: The first 2 photos are from when the pin box was mounted on my 2003 Cardinal.

I no longer use lights mounted to pin box.

The angle brackets are welded to the pin box. Stainless nuts are welded to angle brackets. Stainless bolts are used to prevent rust.

I had to modify the cross beam to move the poles forward to keep them from hitting the front camp on my 2013 Cedar Creek.

Since I don't use the hook up lites in front cap, I'm planning on mounting lights on top of the front cap to lite flags and wire them to the existing switch

I made a stake out of angle iron with PVC clamped to it, cut a point on the bottom. I drive it into the ground via cross tube. This way I can put the flag anywhere in camp and don't have to hear it fapping at night.

I forgot it over New Years.

I was able to mount mine on the ramp, about 7 feet off the ground.. I lower the ramp, put a chair or table at edge of the ramp so it does not go all the way to the ground. Insert the pole, extend it, add light and wire, add flag, close the door.

There are flood lights attached to each pole to light flags at night.

That looks great. Do you have any more photos? Any close-ups showing how it mounts to your hitch?

I will get you a picture of the base...its super solid!
It seems a bit spendy, but it is the last one you will ever buy!
Base, flag pole, and a LED whip on top of the flag pole! Pretty awesome!

I installed a 4" sq RV bumper on the rear of my toy hauler and then made a pc of tube with a T-pc to slide into that that I pin in place. With the T in the vertical position I just drop my flag pole down through the tube. I pined the sq so it would be far enough from the side of the hauler to prevent the pole from hitting. Works great with my 30ft flagpole and 3 flags.
