Yea I really said that. Been here for the past 9 winters. CG is getting more greedy and we're looking at another location in south Florida for the winter. Prefer the west coast like everybody else. Would like some suggestions. Have12 dingy and water access would be nice, but not necessary. Thanks Jim

Riverside RV Resort in warm southern Florida near I-75 exit 170. It has an Arcadia address but is actually much closer to Port Charlotte. They have a boat ramp/dock on the Peace River which many kayakers use. 500 sites and the park is full during the winter. I like it because they have larger lots for many sites.

If interested you may want to call now for next year - will probably get put on 'the list'.

The park was sold in late 2016 and is now an Encore owned park. Hope that will not be a bad thing.

Do you folks actually pay, what is it, something like 2500 a month to stay in Key West? I guess that's better than renting a condo, but still, for an RV?
We are backed to the water with a boat slip behind our trailer. Granted its not Key West, buy far more peaceful, lots of good fishing and abundant restaurants. Our space cost is $350 a month, no pool, bring your own cable TV. The Park is basically a graveled-in parking lot at the end of a road surrounded by expensive (for Texas) homes on canals. Port Isabel, TX.

Two parks in Cortez, Fl you might find interesting.
Holiday Cove Rv
and
Buttonwood Inlet Rv Resort...(this is where we stay)
Great area...only a few minutes to Anna Marie
Both parks have launches to the intercoastal.
Can't beat the restaurants or the beaches.

You might like Imperial Bonita Estates with river access directly into Estero Bay. It may be a bit pricey for some, but cheaper than the Keys.

I as a Floridian love the money tourist spent. but as a Camper who has to leave Florida in the winter because most of the good camp grounds are full of Snowbirds.
