Whatever happened to WindowMaxx Louvered Window Vents?

See, for instance MaxxAir Window Vent

Have any of you used them? This price seems a bit high; what do you think? Are there any other options for leaving a window open in the rain? I don't have an awning (long story - ok, not that long - there was this telephone pole in MA).

Any suggestions?

I installed them on my Bounder and they were great. they came with sheet metal screws but Instead I drilled/threaded the window frames and used bolts to fasten them on. great, could open window in rain, etc.
I would highly recommend them.
