Bed reading light replaced with kitchen-counter light

I never liked my bedroom reading lights. They were directly over my head and aimed straight down, so they put more light in my eyes than on my book.

I installed two 12-inch LED light fixtures designed for kitchen counters. They are aimed outward so to shine on the book, not in my eyes.

The new lights are 120-volt, so I can't use them without hookups (unless I run the generator). For me, that's not a big deal.

I did much the same thing but with 2 LED license plate lights. They were very inexpensive and small and discrete. You really have to look to see them.

I think these may have a transformer in them in that case you can remove the transformer and use on 12 volt.

Looks good! Being LED, they would need very little power so a small inverter would let you efficiently use 12 volt power.
