So you are just going to purposely forget the almost three decades the Super Duty's chassis was basically unchanged besides updated grilles and lights from 1997 to 2016? I am not trying to piss on Fords here, but to call out another make for not changing is a bit hypocritical.

2 things stood out to me...
All the BS about new frame and alum body and how it would change the payload and towing capability. Yet this truck is rated to carry only about 100 lbs than my previous 2011 f250. also they can rate it to tow a million pound trailer it still cant carry the tongue or pin weight!
PRICE...At $75k this truck has a higher sticker price than my 2016 F350 DRW Platinum.
While the torque ratings are getting close to 1000tq, the price tags are getting close to $100k.

I have no issues with my purchases and think the McD analogy is cute. But some seem to be more vested in their brand and seem to take it personally and attempt to defend even in an obvious joke. I like all brands and in fact do work for all the big players. My personal net worth is just not tied to what I happen to be driving this year.
And for your point of reference. I did not interject the MdD analogy nor was the one debating on the the advancement of the crucial dash in towing prowess.

I would not be happy with that fuel mileage towing that low trailer.

x2. Where are the savings from the aluminum body?
The weight savings went back into the frame, drivetrain, brakes, to name a few.
Towing just got easier...
The 1 ton DRW Eisenhower pull-off did not at all show that towing got easier for the Ford, my friend....

Since everyone is splitting hairs and this thread has gone off the rails.
2006-2012 is 7 model years
2013-current is 5 model years
You got that one but still not a decade.

Honestly I don't hate the new fords, but don't love them either. the only thing I have seen that I liked was the new dash and bigger sun roof, aside from that I will keep my antique 2016 model for a few more years.
What's funny to me is everyone around here that are ford freaks are raving about the new dash. Looks to me like ford just copied from ram. My 2013 had that same dash as does my 2016. Lol ford pushes that they went all aluminum to make lighter and stronger when they still have the heaviest truck of the three and just now caught up with the strength. Other than their dually they don't have any payload in their 350'system because of a pitiful gvwr.
Go back even further and you'll see that the 2010 ram interior looked very similar to Fords 2009 F150 dash.
Also Ford's F350 SRW now has a new and specific rear end and a different leaf pack than the F250.
As for interior, I got to drive a F150 Lariet for a day a few weeks ago and I was really impressed with the interior quality and seats. Going back into my 2012 Super Duty the next day felt/looked less refined. The Sync 3 system is first class. Having said that the seats in both trucks feel equally comfortable so that was a wash. The crew cab is a lot bigger on the new trucks as well.
So what you are saying Fish is that the 2009 F150 copied the Rams dash too? The 2010 dash is the same as the 2006 dash in the HD trucks.
You said in an earlier post that they took the weight savings and reinvested it back into the other stuff. Makes no sense that they supposedly made a stronger truck but didn't give it the numbers to handle more than the older weaker truck. What gives?
Sounds to me like the only thing Ford is not playing catch up on is their sales but hey, McDonalds does good too. ๐
So can we just agree Ram has not changed their dash in a decade :B
Even McDonald's innovates more than that...
