Bumper Pull Toy Hauler and Tongue Weight

My new bumper pull Toy Hauler is making me upgrade my WDH. My current hitch is a Round Bar WDH rating is 10000 gross and 1000tw. My current TW is 1550lbs trailer is 9750lbs loaded.

I don't see any Round Bar WDH's over 14000k. I am able to find a 15000k Trunnion style WDH. I would like to go one step further at 17000k but there are few hitches in that range that I can find and they are very expensive.

I would be interested to hear what other Bumper Pull Haulers are using for WDH

1. Is a Trunnion WDH better than a Round Bar WDH?

2. What's the difference between a Trunnion WDH being "pinned" or not pinned?

I had a Reese Dual Cam on my old 32' Dutchmen and a 1500# Blue Ox Sway Pro for my last bumper pull TH (XLR Hyperlite). The Hyperlite hitch weight loaded up was about 1200#.
Both systems worked well, but the Blue Ox Sway Pro was the easiest to install and use.
Keep true to the vision living in your head.

That is serious weight. My last bumper pull toy hauler had a gross weight of 13000 and a tongue weight of 1350. My OEM hitch on my truck was only rated at 10000 gross and 1000 tw. I upgraded to a 17,000 gross 1700 tw hitch...

Blue Ox Sway Pro gets good reviews.

How do you know what size bars do you have?
The bars are marked with a dot system on the shank end to identify the weight rating.

550lb Bar = (1) Dot
750lb Bar = (2) Dots
1000lb Bar = (3) Dots

I have the Equalizer with 1400 lb bars. Seems to work ok, nothing to compare it to though as this hitch came with the trailer.

I had good luck with Reese Dual Cam for WD and anti-sway.

If I were buying again, I would pick between the Reese Dual Cam and Equalizer.

What about the Blue Ox Sway Pro? It's not really that expensive.

I like it because it rides better.

I bought what I needed for my tongue weight.

I bought the Equalizer hitch.
Stout enough for my weight and also had built in sway control.

I also had to upgrade the receiver on my truck.
