My first TT was really small and on a single axle.

I took a trip from Wisconsin to Boston. Trip out was just fine.

Trip back that trailer was swaying so much I could almost look out my side window and touch it!!! :B

All because I had put a very heavy item inside the TT "Behind" the axle.
Moved the item to in front of the axle and voila problem solved.

Made me a big believer on how you load a single axle TT.

I remember 15 yrs ago I was in my late teens working for a power line/tree trimming company and I had my first lesson in trailer sway. I drove my power stroke 300miles away to pick up 100 90lb trees to replant under power lines. The tree company loaded all 9k lb of trees in the rear of the dump trailer. I didn't know any better. I hit the freeway, and about 55mph all of a sudden the trailer drug me back and forth through three lanes of I5. Fortune tly there were no cars, and I was counter steering like mad. I got it slowed down and made it to the next rest stop. I traded a couple trees to a truck driver to help me move the trees to the front of the trailer. It's all about how it's loaded.
