Winnebago Aspect 26A/Itasca Cambria 26A

Dianne and I are looking to downsize. One of the coaches on our list (just from internet searching) is the 2005-2008 Winnebago Aspect 26A/Itasca Cambria 26A.

We are in League City, TX (just south of Houston). Would really appreciate it if anyone in the area would allow us to look at theirs so we can rule in/out that selection.

Nice thing about an Owner is maybe s/he has weighed it. We had a case awhile ago, and I remember it was a Winnie product, just don't remember the model, that the owner couldn't get to handle right. The wheelbase was so short, couldn't get enough weight to the front axle.

Looking at Wheelbase-to-Length gives you a cut at what weight transfer from heavy rear to light front might be, but I think actual scale weights'd be more telling.

We have a 2008 Aspect 26A but are way too far for you to come visit. Things I love are the light especially with side windows in the slide, the comfort of the curved dinette, the legroom when driving because the slide isn't against the driver's seat, The overall quality, the fiberglass roof, and the slide out pantry. It drives and handles well especially with the rear air bags.

Things I don't like are the awkward toilet, the small shower, the lack of storage for the sewer hose and the difficulty in taking down and resetting the table (I think that was 1 year only).

We were willing to overlook the shortcomings for the greater good. Some folks hate a corner bed but we find it very cozy and comfortable especially for just us 2. Ours had every option including full body paint. The only one missing was leveling jacks which we haven't missed.

Be sure to walk the roof and check the top of the front cap and the curve where the sides meet the roof for clear coat peeling, especially in warmer climates. They seemed to fix this mostly by 2008 but mine has some peeling due to being originally from AZ.
