We will be camping in Cody mid May then heading to Idaho Falls. Is it possible to drive thru Yellowstone with a 39'mh and a 37' 5th wheel or do we have to go back to I90 to I15.

as stated, all roads inside the park are wide enough for big rigs, but it will be slow going at 45 mph.
but it won't be much faster going down to Jackson and then on down to Alpine and over to Idaho Falls.
so take your choice ๐Ÿ™‚ they are both scenic drives.

Yes it's possible but assuming the south entrance is open I would head south on 191 through Yellowstone to the Tetons. In Jackson do not take 22 west, continue south on 191 to 89 and then 26 to Idaho Falls. I've driven my 42' plus a car on all the roads in Yellowstone.
