Power awning slow

I have not been successful with determining what to do with my awning. It is very slow retracting. At times, it completely stops soon after beginning to retract. With a small manual help, it does move normally.

From one who is not very mechanical, it seems like a lubrication issue. Is there a way to lubricate the arms? It is an A&E awning.

Thanks,

It's not uncommon for techs to find them wound up backwards. So if you go beyond fully extended it will continue on and wind back up. It isn't designed to work that direction so it moves slowly.

I use a little silicone spray on all moving joints on mine. Also make sure contacts are clean where motor wires connect.
