changing to digital bluetooth thermostat, furnace only

I have a small RV without AC, but have a heater with an analog thermostat.

I want a digital Bluetooth thermostat to run the heater.

Dometic tells me that their Bluetooth thermostat for both heating and cooling will work with a heater only if set up in the right way.

My local RV guy tells me he thinks that you need an ac to run some of the wiring, and it would not work with a heater alone.

I am willing to spend the money to buy a dual thermastat for a heater only, if someone has knowledge about whether this could work and how.

Anyone know about this?

You might want to check on the Dometic Bluetooth thermostat. My dealer cancelled an order last winter because it was discontinued. I went with the Micro Air unit since I have both a furnace & AC.

My thermostat only has one sense wire going to a control box mounted in the AC. That box switched both the AC & the furnace. You might need to add the control unit even if you are only going to run just a furnace. Call Hutch Mountain (MicroAir) and ask if they have a solution...
