We discovered a flat tire upon arriving at Rifle Gap State Park in Colorado in September. We had towed for an unknown number of miles as the tire was "going flat." That was on a Sunday afternoon
The next morning I was able to air up the tire with a portable compressor and was able to drive into the town of Rifle. I had a prejudice against WalMart and tried to find another place to check the tire, but the only place I could find was the Rifle WalMart. It was early in the morning, but the woman who was in charge told me that as soon as the workers came in she would have them to check the tire. They had to take the tire off and then off the rim, discovered that the tire was damaged beyond repair, then put the spare on and replaced the "flat" tire on the spare carriage. The woman in charge told me that they did not have a tire to replace.
I remembered that I had bought the tires here in East Texas at a Discount Tire Store, so I called Grand Junction. The young man asked only for my phone number, then addressed me by name and said, "Yes, sir, we have that tire and will make a good adjustment on it. You just come on over here."
I then went to the desk and asked that WalMart associate what I owed. She replied, "You don't owe anything. We were not able to repair the tire and we do not have a replacement." She printed out a receipt when showed a balance of $0.00.
When we arrived at Grand Junction (towing our 34' fifth-wheel) we met the same young man who spoke to me on the phone, who greeted us as if we were the most important customers of that store. I don't have the figures before me but I know that it was less than $40 for a $200 tire (round numbers), including balances, mounting, tax.
I am glad to have this opportunity to express my appreciation for the Rifle, Colorado WalMart and the Grand Junction, Colorado Discount Tire Store.

Discount Tire/America's Tire (same company) is the only place I buy tires. Great service, no games, and they've got locations everywhere so if you ever need a tire repaired or warranted you'll find them in every major area
