After a lot of issues with my '14 Ram 2500 5.7l I swore I'd never get another Ram. Fast forward to March when the dealer was making offers to trade on a new truck that I couldn't refuse. I believe in 2nd chances so hopefully this one doesn't let me down.

I factory ordered another 2500 Laramie with the Cummins this time and a few added options. It came in a month early and was ready in time for a trip to see the family this weekend. Good chance to break it in.

So far so good. Very happy with the power and performance although the diesel will take some getting used to (my first). Covered 1300kms mostly highway, some city and averaged 11.6l/100km (20+mpg for those south of the border). Could have milked it for more but it was too fun keeping my foot down. Can't wait to tow with it. First trip isn't until July but I might have to drag the tt around sooner just for fun.

Very nice, very sharp, congrats. Just curious, what is your payload limit with the Cummins? On the yellow sticker?

A little light at 2040lbs but more than I need.

You will love the truck. Run TH and EB all the time. Run the hell out of it for a while the 68RFE is a "learning" trans and will perform best if not babied.

Sharp looking truck. Hopefully it serves you as well as my '16 Cummins has served me, and much better than your last one. You'll have a good looking, good towing rig.

Your first diesel- be careful when fueling not to grab the gas nozzle- old habits are hard to break. Nice truck. I bet you will be happy.

Four wheel drive. I had the dealer take off the cheesy 4x4 off road stickers.
