Have traveled that route a number of time, last time was last fall. Though there is a good amount of truck traffic, I have always found the truckers to be very considerate, as a whole, and much more so on this road as opposed to other "super slabs"....
Can't give specifics about that area but I will go along with Arkansas SPs, as a whole. Pretty nice and not too expensive. No "day fees" that run the costs way up (that's why I love my "Texas State Park Pass" :)).Happy Camping!
