I have the X2 and it does a great job. Unless you are planning on running two receivers I would go with one of the smaller cheaper dishes.I believe the X2 has the biggest dish of any of the portables and it takes a pretty good rain to shut it down.
Sometimes just running the pump for a few seconds will remove the trash from the check valve. Give it a chance to see if it is fixed after running the pump before replacing.
