"Camping" and getting a few hours sleep are two different things. I have never had a problem sleeping overnight (5-7 hours) at a number of rest areas when in a hurry to get from one place to another.
I would rather just add another awning over the window or whatever. The flapping on a extra long slide topper would be significant and I wouldn't want to put up with that. Slide toppers are not usually pulled very tight.

Only problem I have with 10 is with a USB connected external disk. It will not boot up unless I unplug the USB, even after modifying the bios. Other than that I am pretty happy with it. Using "Text maker" for word processing etc saves a few bucks.
