RE: Is all DEF the same?

62,000 miles on Walmart DEF; no codes, no issues…. As a side note I used to purchase Truckloads of “ No Brand Name “ antifreeze, but, was actually Prestone Brand…. Saved my customers a bunch of money…

RE: New polar cub Mach 8 AC and the Honda eu2000i question

…. And for those that need more than a Honda 2200 but don’t want to lift a heavier load don’t forget: … get 2 Honda 2200 = plenty of watts & easier to lift…….And not made in Communist China….

RE: New polar cub Mach 8 AC and the Honda eu2000i question

We have 0 issues starting the same A/C with the 2200 Honda; also if’s you first go to “ Fan High” then to “Cool High” it will make starting the compressor easier!…

RE: Black and gray tank heaters.

…. Good idea for the cold weather country… I ordered our AF865 with them & they came with 12V & 110V heating pads…. Have yet to worry about using them ( 10*F is coldest we have seen in 2 1/2 years ) but they are ready …

RE: Prepping for below freezing temps and snow.

…. Here I am toughening it out in the Philippines & wishing I was in the TC somewhere… Actually on day 8 of a 10 day quarantine locked up in a hotel room overlooking Manila Bay & guess what…NO Alcohol allowed during quarantine…… And REALITY CHECK the dog and I flew into the Fry Canyon dirt strip years ago & stayed at the motel restaurant that operated there, now a residence.

RE: I need help removing my broken water heater drain plug

If the remaining threads are of plastic or nylon, you could heat up a screwdriver head & melt a grove/ slot in the material. Then cool down the screwdriver head & unscrew the remainder…A picture of your problem would be helpful….

RE: Replacement Water Pump

We live in a no slide AF 865 & I carry an exact of the factory so that I don’t need more parts or a workaround; got it from Amazon; replaced it once already as the diaphragm was getting dirty… Cleaned it up & now it’s my spare…

RE: Touchy subject - proper toilet paper for black tank

….. When we use the onboard toilet ( which is infrequently as we prefer to use any facilities where we are camping such as: vault toilet, RV Park toilet, where the bear goes) we put the used toilet paper into a plastic bag; then dispose of in the dumpster…. NO worries about clogged tanks, lines or sensors… And always remember to use LOTS of water when flushing….

RE: Oregon to charge 25% more for out of state RV campers

And in the Stanislaus National Forest ( Tuolumne & Calaveras Counties ) camping fees are just about doubling; but, I don’t believe that they are gonna be doubling their “ service “ to the campers…. If’s in the same sentence they would have said “ AND WITH THESE NEW FEES WE WILL BE BUILDING ADDITIONAL CAMPGROUNDS “ then, I would have been pleased….

RE: Skool me on cell phone boosters and install tips, please

…. Currently boondocking south of Crater Lake using a WeBoost ( tried another brand ONCE to cure me from doing that again) …On about our 7th WeBoost installation on different RV’s & trucks… WeBoost has STUNNING customer service to help you with any issues or concerns… Would not be able to get signal without a booster; slow but effective here… Amazon has all the different models for various applications… If you are really out there a Yagi antenna & a collapsible pole are helpful in getting signal ( or hiking to the top of a hill also has worked several times for us )…I’m a very satisfied WeBoost customer…

RE: How fast do you drive with camper on? .

…. About 58 level & uphill; might go a little faster on the downhill; retired & in the slow lane or back roads preferably; after you have seen a few demolished RV’s it slows one down….We also enjoy the better MPG & scenery by driving slow….

RE: Just experienced our first Non-refundable campground

…. You never know what tomorrow will bring, we don’t make reservations for campgrounds BUT we are prepared to spend the night impromptu. 5 years on the road FT… Yes it’s a terrible policy & I think I’d post on GOOGLE & all the campgrounds websites I could find…
