RE: Homeless people coming to your favorite campground!

As I said in opening post it has not affected us yet, as we are also homeless... And we don’t do resort or upscale, but, prefer Boondocking or Government sites..Yes homeless as we are FT in a TC, and , we are also camphosts. And agree we all need a place to stay, but, I think the outcome is that a lot of folks are gonna have a more difficult time finding a campsite.

Homeless people coming to your favorite campground!

.... Currently at New Melones Resevoir ( Tuolumne County, CA ) and about 1/2 of the weekday campers are either at the lower end of the economic scale or not even on it. Ancient RV, no tent but living out of vehicle, pit bulls, unkempt & disheveled appearance, noise complaints, etc.... So far this has yet to affect us, but, it may in the future...

RE: New generator for new rv. Recommendations

.... IF you buy a Honda you will pay more, but you will get more. Service, reliability, resale value and a proven generator. If you get a Communist China knockoff you will pay less but also get less and it might , maybe, produce the stated power output....

RE: Truck Camper with Built in Genset?

.... I’d recommend going with Solar and a Honda.... Built in generators suck propane, are costly in money & space taken, noisy, and vibrate.... With enough Solar your batteries will be fully charged every day without running the generator and if you need the A/C the Honda can run it.. I’ve had solar on my last 6 RV’s......NO complaints....

RE: Highway 99 from Bakersfield to towards Oregon

Bakersfield to Hwy 395 and up into Oregon! Scenic drive, lots of camping & little traffic, CHEAP Gas in Gardnerville, NV, WIN money as you pass through Reno and then more scenery on your drive up North! Hey 395 beats 5 or 99 every which way! Except in winter with possibly snow & ice....

RE: Moisture under mattress solutions please

Thanks for some good answers folks! Put down a layer of 1/2” foam board and also ordered a queen Den-Dry... And it is definitely an issue when you find moisture under the mattress! We were volunteer camphosting in the desert and no issues there but came up to the moisture & rain in the Mother Lode to deal with some rental property issues and that’s when issues started....(We are FT in a AF 865 TC).....Again thanks for the replies!!!
