We are Drowning in our...

Own Garbage..... Folks have you noticed how much trash is just thrown out of people’s vehicles when driving down the road? And Campsites that resemble a garbage dump? And disgusting usage of vault toilets & bathrooms??? I’m thinking that if this issue isn’t addressed soon we will all drown! Should Garbage / Trash Disposal, Recycling & Sanitation be something that should be taught by the Public Schools in hopes of getting the message through to some of the population? Or a government campaign to address the issue?

RE: Honda 2200 on front hitch...possible overheating?

.... Also remember that you are driving a 7 year old vehicle ( mileage not stated ) and parts do wear out & radiators & coolers don’t get plugged up compounding the restricted air flow issue; something to consider.... I’ve had some experience in dealing with these issues...

RE: Preparing to Camp Host

We have done camphosting for about 6 seasons; there’s of course the good things & good people that make it enjoyable & rewarding ....But this year when wife started crying I told her “ we’re done.” Fortunately we’re financially stable....The camping crowd mentality, attitude & life choices have changed ....The pluses are waking up in a nice location ( you might also wake up to a domestic altercation, after hours generator, party, horns, drunks, forest fire, & people banging your door at some unusual hour with an “issue”... Free camping is a plus, but, then you find it necessary to go to a lot of campsites as they are to busy to deposit the $$$, or they think it’s FREE, or they only have a rubber check, or they will pay when they leave,...Anyway a lot of time spent collecting and then the paperwork... And cleaning the bathrooms is a whole different topic we could talk about all day long & into the morning...But some campgrounds are easier than others and some are a pain... Personally I’d say give it a go ; you can always say adios....

RE: Need input into newer GM D/A dually trucks

2019 is the LAST year of the true Allison 6 speed transmission ( unless you get a 4500 of bigger) as they went to the new 10 speed in 2020 ( built by GM but “ branded” Allison )... Got a 2019 Duramax Dually for hauling our AF TC on ( we’re FT ) ....Not a complaint in 23000 miles...

RE: Vault Toilet Decorations

MOBEEWAN..... 1 reason why we left the camphosting world and are now FT in our AF TC.... People also stealing firewood from camphosting site and partying past midnight around a campfire of stolen wood.... And large groups of campers going through the TP at a rapid rate & then banging on the door to complain about no TP at 11PM.... Wife was ready to shove a roll down persons throat ( some kind of Unspecified church group; also played drums until 11pm)....

RE: Did you notice..........

.... I noticed that in very Northern Kalifornia there’s very little available public camping spaces available .... Spent last night at a Best Western and it also was very busy.... Might be a result of people not being able to vacation by air?...
