RE: delamination issue on side of TT, need suggestions

I don't believe that will lay down flat using the method you are suggesting. I certainly am not an expert but I believe that skin has expanded some and will not lay flat unless you take some material out. I think I would take a straight edge and cut straight down the bulge then lay it down flat and cut again where the edges join. Then put the glue in and clamp it down. There will be a fine line there where you made the cut but it can be filled with many different fillers. Just an idea. Hope you get it worked out.

RE: Air compressors

I bought a PorterCable 3 gallon unit from Home Depot. Pumps to 150 psi. Works great for me for tires and small jobs. My tires run 110 psi. X2

RE: Steering problems w/ 30 ft Winnebago

Friend of mine had a Winney with the same issues. He bought an after market steering stabalizer and installed it himself. He was very pleased with the improvement.

RE: Question on 5th wheel brakes

I think it will take more than a couple of feet for the brakes to activate. Trailer brakes are slower to activate than an automobile.

RE: Just experienced our first Non-refundable campground

I understand why parks have to have these policies but I also believe if they are able to rent that space on the day or days in question they should provide a refund minus a reasonable cancellation fee. I will not make a reservation at a no refund park until I am 99.9% sure I will make it to that destination, however I nearly go burned this year when all of the parks at my scheduled stop were all booked.

RE: Progressive Industries EMS and Powerline frequency error

I had the same issue with my progressive in one campground. I was getting the frequency error and one side was reading 89. I had no clue and the book said to call customer support. I tried but no one answered the phone. The EMS has worked perfectly in the month and a half since in different camp grounds. No idea what high frequency will do so I did just as the OP did and unplugged it for the night.

RE: Tires and their pressures

Sounds to me like you was talking to the janitor at the tire dealer. You are doing exactly what you should do unless you know the exact weight of on the rear axle. I would do a little more digging with the tire dealer. Good luck.

RE: What a deal!---no thanks

I was in a large GM dealership the other day and they don't have anything to sell.

RE: Highway 50 closure by Gunnison

If you have an adequate tow vehicle Monarch pass should not be a problem. It is certainly a long steep pull but it is a very good road with a restaurant at the summit. If you take your time should not be problem. You will be pulling up the steepest side. There is also a gondla at the top of the pass that takes you to the peak of the mountain. With the schedule given above you could make the trip on a weekend with no delays.

RE: Can't find my water pump

I agree the post is a little confusing. Just remember the pump has to fill up the water heater before you will have much pressure to the faucets. the pump is usually close to the back of the water heater.

RE: Fiber Optic

I have fiber to the house. Verizon ran a cat5 wire to my router. The tvs are run off of the same coax as they always have been. The smart TV's and computers and cell phones run wireless off of the router. You should not have to run the cat 5 unless you want it on the opposite end of the house from where the service company's equipment is mounted. Then you might have to provide the wiring. Some companies use fiber to the curb and I am not sure what they run from the street to the house. Either way you will love the quality of the product.

RE: Air Flow Deflectors

I had one of those a few years ago and the only thing it did for sure was to reduce the bug spatter on front of the RV. If it saved any fuel or reduced the strain on the truck I couldn't tell it.

RE: Slide out issue

Are you sure there is not a slide bar on top of the slide? Some slides use a slide lock which is just an expandable bar on top of the slide to keep them from creeping out. Just a thought. Forget the slide lock if it is moving 6 or 7 inches. Sounds like you need to lube all of your moving parts on the slide mech.

RE: RV At Dealer for 90 Days Now for An Awning Replacement!!!!!

If the stealer has ordered the new awning you will probably be on the hook for some charges. Unfortunately having an appointment with one of these jokers only means they will make someone available to accept your rig and they have a place to park it, nothing more. I asked my stealer on warranty work to order the parts and I would bring it in when they arrived and they had time to do the work. They refused to order the parts unless the rig was on the lot. This is a one way street right now. I will use a mobile tech if I need something I can't do myself. Good luck.

RE: Hehr Window Repair

Might check with a local glass company. Some of them are capable of fixing RV windows.

RE: Exterior/Interior coatings on new travel trailers

In 2005 I paid for the exterior coating on my new all white RV. After a few years it had turned darker. I had to hand rub the whole RV with simple green to remove it. I would not recommend the coatings.

RE: Chevy Shake

Not sure if it is the same issue but I had a 2009 GMC dmax dually and it had a vibration when starting off. There was a GM service bulletin on this issue that was caused by the driveshaft angle. I took mine to the dealer and they fixed it no problems afterward traded it in in 2014.

RE: Slide outs in cold weather

If you use your furnace and you have floor ducts you will need to leave the slides out if the slides cover the vents.
