RE: FanTastic bathroom fan?? ((UPDATE)){{{UPDATE}}}}

Thanks for getting back to this thread and posting a resolution. I needed a switch a few years ago, the nice lady on the phone would not let me pay for it. That is incredible customer service! :B Yes indeed, there customer service is GREATTTTTTT.. Always has been with me at least. Thanks for the reply. I just remembered, I ran into a guy that had a ten year old Fantastic Fan about five years ago. He was having some issues with it and I told him to call Fantastic fan and see what happens. They sent him an entire new fan! I am pretty sure that would not happen today, but he was a happy customer!!

Just as an ancillary response, I am glad the OP has solved his problem (we hope) :C I never use the automatic opening and closing switch. I am too impatient to wait for it to open or close, so, I always just pull the handle down and open or close it manually. That's just me............:B

RE: FanTastic bathroom fan?? ((UPDATE)){{{UPDATE}}}}

There is a cutout switch that turns off the fan when the cover is closed. That switch goes bad sometimes. This happens to mine every once in a while, that pin switch sticks or has enough dirt and corrosion on it so it does not make contact. All I have to do to un-stick it is open and close the lid manually a couple inches a few times and it starts working again. If that does not work, if you remove the screen, feel around for the switch and push it up and down a few times. Make sure to turn the fan off first :E Please let us know what you figure out.

RE: Jalama Beach County Park In California

Thank you for the heads up, several years ago that road was disintegrating. It used to be really rough with landslide road fall off and down to one lane in several spots. But sometime in the last ten years they fixed the road. I was there last year and it is a full two lanes all the way and pretty smooth, you still have to drive slow, something like 35mph. Also, I got my answer on another Airstream forum from a guy with the exact same trailer as mine and he said the area I was concerned about was not a problem. Have a great summer camping........

Jalama Beach County Park In California

I have been to Jalama a few times in a 24' Class C and I could fit anywhere in the park. This next trip I am taking a 27' Airstream TT and I am concerned about dragging my rear bumper as I go up the hill to a site at the very top. I plan to remove the weight distribution bars from my Equalizer hitch before going up the hill, so that will drop the front down an extra inch or so. I know I can fit in the site itself, but the Airstream has such a low profile I am concerned about dragging the rear end. Anyone been there with a similar trailer and go to the top of the hill? Thanks
