I never treat gas in any vehicle and it's always fine without it.

RE: Dump Station Observations

Most of the USFS/USDA campgrounds near here do not have dump stations. Many of the State Parks don't, either. Dump stations are a maintenance nightmare which is why many are closing. People, as usual, abuse them with diapers, oil, and all manner of stuff that shouldn't go in them. "Flushable" items like baby wipes are a common problem.

RE: Dump Station Observations

It's not snarky to complain about how people dump their holding tanks? :)No. Stating observation and fact is not snark. Snark is belittling the OP for mentioning it.

RE: Dump Station Observations

This forum resides in Snarkville. I post little here due to the snarks. I was just trying to share my amusement and maybe get people to go hmmmm.Amazes me when, almost every time someone makes a post like yours, simply blowing off a bit of steam, people feel the need to belittle you. Quartzsite is a real poop show at the dump, and those lines can get really long. One day I got behind a beat up old Class C where the lady decided to fill her fresh water from the rinse hose, apparently not realizing you don't do that, or that fresh water was 100' away from the dump. I for one got out and yelled at her to get going.

RE: Latest Dish News Blackout ???

DTV provides all my needs, including LA locals which work everywhere. I really like Forensic Files and Law and Order. Today was one of those beautiful days when I shot the 101 in under one minute. Sometime I can't aim it in a hour!

RE: Quiet heater that doesn’t drain batteries ?

Produce moisture? Look at your front window and others when it is 32 outside and raining and furnaces run all night. My furnace does not produce moisture.

RE: pure sine wave 1000 watts! but only 500 watts per plug

Great price. Perfect for the weekend camper, not sure how long it would last in continuous service.

RE: Solar panel

I can throw at it to 98-99% SOC where your lead slows way down much earlier in its SOC trying to absorb the charge. Isn't that faster?.Yes it is. It's near impossible, or at least I found it so, to charge acid to 100% while boondocking. Seems like that takes 24 hours of steady shore charging.

I hope the OP is getting some help from all this.

RE: Solar panel

There can be good reasons to have Li, but the "faster charging" claim needs to be very scenario specific.Correct. I'm charging at 34 amps at 50v right now. Equivalent of 120. Gives my Hondas a good workout.

How many watts you need? How many batteries do you have? Do you have an inverter?

RE: Burnt wires in power distribution panel

I HIGHLY suggest turning off the AC power and tightening EVERY electrical connection possible. This also applies to cords with twist locks and their receptacles.Yes.. the screws that attach the 30a cable to the plug. PITA to check, but when they work loose things get hot.
