Easy toilet fix

I may have mentioned this somewhere else, but I will again.
My Dometic 310 toilet was leaking, so I decided to try to replace the seal. I'd done all the cleaning, vinegar.. whatever.. but nothing worked. As per the youtube instructions I tried pushing down on it but it just would not come loose. I stopped after several minutes because I feared it would break and drop into the tank.
I wondered if what I did would make a difference, so I put water in it and, lo and behold, it held! Weeks later it's still not leaking a drop.
So.. if your toilet leaks and nothing works, just try pushing down on the seal.

RE: HELP: Fridge issues and trip tmw!

I appreciate the help guys! Yes an IR thermometer is not the most accurate but was enough to confirm I have a problem. .I don't know what accuracy these folks are expecting.
Did you pull the back and check for leakage in the coils?

RE: Catastrophic Fuse

Since DC travels from - to +, I would think the fuse should be on the battery -

RE: Lifepo4 float setting?

You didn’t mention your stats, but it’s entirely possible with my 400a/hr LFP and 660w of solar - with 400a/hr LFP concurrent with harvest, and 2/3rds duty cycle835w solar, [email protected] li battery. If I ran air with that during the day I may not have much left over for evening use!

RE: Lifepo4 float setting?

Yep, only air con for my 2 2200s. 99% solar. Best investment ever. I can do maybe an hour of air on battery.. that's about it.

RE: Tripping solar panel breaker

So partial shading impacts the total power available more... So I opted for parallel wiring. Am I wrong about that?.Depends on the panel. Bypass diodes allow for shading by shutting down that part of the panel. If no diodes are in the panel, then yes, a series setup will shut it all down.
I have 6 panels in series and I don't really notice that much of a degradation of power with partial shade. YMMV

I don't know why you have to fuse panels.

RE: Replacement City Water Inlet recommendation

It's leaking when pump is on and when trying to connectI just put a plug in mine. I never hook up the hose.

RE: Replacement City Water Inlet recommendation

You mean it's leaking when you use it, or it's leaking when using your pump?

RE: Extending Wifi Range???

I have a CC Vector antenna, but that's probably more than you want to spend. It works great from hundreds of feet away.

RE: Lifepo4 float setting?

One of the reasons given by many to upgrade is being able to use at least 80% of capacity. That 45% gives a + to lead acid acid batteries that can be used at -40°. With me that 80% figure is moot as my solar is always on the job. It would be a rare situation when I'd ever have to go down to 20% capacity. I purchased mine because of the steady voltage they provide and how long they last.. among other reasons. I carry 100 gallons of fuel but I've never used 80 gallons before filling up.
I'm not sure what kind of performance you'd get from a LA battery at -40F.

RE: Lifepo4 float setting?

I just assume the Victron 75/15 will not allow the float to be off from what I have read..I guess I will find out tomorrow.Questions on Amazon indicate this controller has Li settings. I would presume, without actually reading the owner's manual, this includes no Absorb phase.

RE: Lifepo4 float setting?

I would just turn off float if it was possible...But not being possible,My controller allows, if I remember correctly, a minimum setting of one minute. That shouldn't hurt anything. What are you doing with absorb?
Tried youtube for these unknown batteries?

RE: Lifepo4 float setting?

Then I wouldn't bother floating it. It's a miniscule amount more charge and Li's don't care if they're fully charged.
