RE: Traveling without Jacks - contingency plan?

Had mine off for 10 years and carried them on my trailers underside. Good for going threw ditches and sharp turns. When sold that camper the jacks were trashed but still worked. Next time I would cover them

RE: Towing 7500lb trailer w/ 48" stinger?

I think the big difference is that my tow rig is 13500lbs DRW Duel axle trailer with just a jeep on it. 300-500 LBS TONGUE works do to the mass of the tow rig. This is what I am trying to figure out. I totally agree if I was towing 15k there would be some problems.

RE: Towing 7000 LB trailer?

With the truck weight at 12300 28" ext. I would only run about 400 lbs. on the hitch. New camper truck will be over 13,500. I would think I can run 400-500 lbs. on the hitch w/o WD Even though trailer weights 7500LBS ??????????

RE: Arctic Fox Says no off road????

I was very clear to him I wanted to know about the quality of a 2002 990 compared to a 2021 1150. I told him I have put over 3k miles off road not paved. Can I inspect that a newer one is built better then the old. Its not a matter of doing the Rubicon trail with a 6k camper on a DRW TOWING A 7500 LB trailer. REALEY!!
brholt.. 1150 OFF ROAD REPORT. Right on that's what I am talking about YOU ROCK
That mite be a little more then I would do.

RE: Arctic Fox Says no off road????

I thought that is one reason we have truck campers. To go were you cant get a larger RV. My sales info for 2002 A/F says how better built they are for off road use compared to other brands.

Arctic Fox Says no off road????

So I just got rid of my 02 990 A/F dry bath. Ordered a 2021 1150 dry bath. Called Arctic Fox to ask if the new camper will hold up to off road as well as the old A/F. We are talking 2wd roads small rocks, graded etc. His quote. I don't recommend you off road with any of our campers. Any input?
Thanks, Andy
