RE: stupid move

The disconnect has a fuse as well and there may be an additonal fuse or breaker For that matter the Generator may have a fuse or two in the starter line as well. Best outcome: Popped fuses and or tripped master battery breaker Worst outcome. Fried a control board or 3 THANK YOU.

RE: stupid move

Adad, I reject you label of "stupid", you have a very serious distraction. Now, you did the series of the bank correctly but got the ground on the wrong end. Correct? Have you checked to see if the installed bank is still good? I suspect it is... If there is a house bank disconnect (aka salesman switch), they are polarity sensitive. If you can find it, check voltage there again. On a side note. Most of the 12V devices have protective diodes and fuses, so even if those blew, there is little change of major damage. Batteries get hooked backwards with regularity. I wish you peace. Matt THANK YOU. yes i do have them right now. yes they are still good, are you saying the disconnect switch could have blown?

RE: stupid move

If you actually hooked them up "backwards" most rv's have reverse polarity fuses near the battery or converter. Hopefully just a couple blown fuses. i failed to say it is a 2005 national dolphin on a w22 workhorse chassis. would you have any idea where that fuse would be and what size it is? i did hook them backwards positive to ground.

RE: stupid move

What you need to do is disconnect the batteries and hook them up with + to - on both batteries. That will give you 12 volt output. Right now it appears that you have them connected + to + and - to - which gives you a 6 volt output.. https://d3axvdqkyu09xk.cloudfront.net/attachments/2-6volt-series-jpg.11643/ no i have them hooked right, i momentarily hooked positive to ground then i realized what i done.

stupid move

ok, i know it was a stupid move but i have issues that are clouding my thinking. i was putting two new 6 volt batteries in for the coach and hooked them up backwards. i now have no 12 volt lighting and cannot crank my generator. any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. so you know i am not always stupid i have a son dying of cancer. much appreciation in advance.

RE: How do you feel about your corner bed?

i have one and hate it, uncomfortable, hard to make up, if you sleep on the wall side you have to be a contortionist to get in and out. if we ever get rid of it you could not give me another one.

RE: EZ-Pass?

An E-ZPass from NY or any other E-ZPass issuing state is good in all 16 E-ZPass states and the Central Florida Expressway. A NY E-ZPass with an auto refill account has no fees unless you want snail mailed statements. The NY Thruway also has a "Motorhome Plan" that only charges passenger car per axle rates regardless of how big the motohome is. Toll Facilities Participating in E-ZPass NY E-ZPass NY Thruway Motorhome Plan Order Form florida has it's own sun pass, ez pass does not work in florida anywhere that i know of. ooop's my bad. they are experimenting with a visitor pass for rental cars from may 1st to july 31st.

RE: flying j and receipts

Corporate greed over printing a reciept? LMAO I use the truck lanes as I pump diesel. I swipe my RV Plus card, pump my fuel, and get my reciepts from the kiosk, which are usually near the entrance. No problems and I don't even get an opportunity to rant and rave. yes if you think about how much they are saving across the country by not supplying them it adds up.

flying j and receipts

my rant for the day. why the hell did flying j and pilot quit putting receipts at the pumps. more corporate greed i guess. they must be saving thousands of dollars by doing this. it makes me not want to stop there anymore. it isn't worth the discount to have to go inside and stand in line to wait for a receipt.

RE: Freelander 21QB owners?

i have a 2011 21 qb on ford. the big complaint i have is the corner bed. i hate that. the bathroom is small but useable. as said before the cab over is prone to leaks due to the flexing so be vigilant. wish i had a slide out.

RE: steering wheel strap?

Doesn't your 2014 dodge journey already have a locking steering wheel? When you park, put the vehicle in P, shut off the key and remove it, doesn't the steering wheel lock in place so you can only steer a couple inches either way? That's what the dolly instructions are talking about I think. Or did I miss the point of your question? no it does not have the locking steering, i think it is electronic steering.it does not have a key it is passive ignition.

RE: steering wheel strap?

One would think that the basket straps on the front wheels would hold the wheels straight. Not necessarily true! Long ago, I towed a vehicle with non-locking steering on a U-Haul dolly (DEMCO), and by the time I got home, the front wheels had gone to a full left turn. I don't know why it happened. So, yes, I would say to follow the instructions. You do NOT want to take any chance that your car might fall off the dolly. That would ruin your day! thank's for that input, i have used other brands tow dolly many times without problem. this is my first time with demco ss so i am wondering why. that sounds like a good reason why. i guess it is because of the demco steering.
