This will split into 2 50s, then you can adapt your way down. Thank You.... I did see that and was not sure if anything else existed ...

help with electrical question

I have a 50 amp post at my house that I plug my RV into ... My neighbor is allowing a mutual friend to "store" hid RV there for about 2 months, or until his driveway expansion is completed. My neighbor has no outlets close to the rear of his house.... Is there such a thing as - - 50amp male to 50 amp AND 15 amp both female ? This way he can plug in and run his fridge before a trip using a HD extension cord, and I can continue to plug in by using my 50 amp plug... I do not need 50 amp, if using it here, I only run 1 AC and my residential fridge .. nothing else..

RE: question about placement of hitch

Doesn't matter where you set it, over the axle or in front. Just don't want to unload the front axle. So what you want to do is start with it over the axle then get it weigh. Front axle weight should be the same or higher than the unladen weight. On my first truck and 5er the dealer installed the hitch with it centered over the axle. There was no difference in front axle weight with or without. I wondered what difference it would make for handling if it was moved forward, so I did. Added 25# to the front axle. How far did you move it forward to only add 25#

RE: question about placement of hitch

What hitch??? B&W full forward with the head supports placed with straight edges towards the cab. I'm not 100% sure what he has, Possibly a B&W ? Does it matter ? Why full forward >??

question about placement of hitch

My buddy is installing a hitch himself and asked me a question that Was not sure of the answer.??? He asked what the normal placement is for a hitch over the rear axle? and why? He has a 2017 f350 long bed and said he can be either 1" in front or 3" in front?? The more the better ?? how much weight could it shed to the front axle placing it at the 3" in front mark as apposed the 1" ??

RE: timbrens

OP here.. I decided to keep the original set of bags and manually fill them before a tow.. I could not justify the cost to upgrade to a compressor system, or Timbrens at this time.. Thanks for all the suggestions .

RE: timbrens

With all that said, my truck sits a bit low in the arse when towing.. I wanted to ride level when towing.... Just thinking out loud I guess...

RE: timbrens

Thanks to everyone for the feedback... How about lower Stable Loads? I see they now have stainless steel version. not sure how they work? What is the reasoning getting away from air bags ??. Have ran two sets of aftermarket air bags Firestone ,and Airlift. They both have held up well, and worked equally well. Looking for a change ?? Tired of airing up before a tow, and airing down for all other driving.. getting lazy I guess?

timbrens

I am replacing the air bags on my F-350 and have a question.. My fiver is around 3k pin depending on trip.. The truck squats a little bit when loaded, I was thinking of going Timbren this time around... Anyone have good-bad experiences? Are they leveling the truck as stated? All my weights are in order, so let's not go there.. just purely a leveling helper....
