RE: Wifi a long way away from RV site.

I have the system in this thread
David Bott Tutorial
I haven't used it for the past several years because we have had good coverage on our Visible and Verizon phones. But it did work well when I used it. I mounted it on a PVC pole I bungeed to the ladder on the back of the coach. I could point it toward the access point, the ethernet cable ran inside to the wifi and power supply. Mine was only for 2ghz, but I think the new models are also 5ghz.

RE: Proper Power Receptacle For Home?

Wire and install a 50 amp. Use a 50 to 30 dog bone.
+1 more for this. Simple, flexible and most cost effective.

RE: trouble with ac outlets in Allegro Red 33

Do you have a volt meter? Have you verified the output? You should call Magnum.

Have you reset the CB, on the side of the Magnum? See pic! Items 16 and 17, on the side of the Magnum.

RE: Securing Portable AC unit When traveling

Thanks Rick for answering my question instead of asking questions on items that I have already figured out.
What is wrong with asking questions? What is wrong with people adding suggestions, tangent to your OP scope? How do people know you have those items figured out? People are trying to help and may see things you overlooked. This is a public forum with a lot of varying input.

RE: Dometic Junk

You have answered your own question. If all they produced was junk, they would not have been in business for the last 22 years, as well as a leader in the industry. Sorry for your misfortune. Have you contacted them about the issue?

Thank you all so much! Truly.
Anything I should know about replacing with a smart converter? On paper is there anything I should know about or might have to retrofit?

RE: What is the lowest voltage you have seen?

97v but I think that is because I was investigating why my coach kept shutting down. Was standing in from of my Kill A Watt when power came back on. Watched it rise to 106 and then (almost immediately) dropped to 97 before my EMS did it's job and disconnected. Might have gone lower.

Are you only looking to protect one item or the whole rig? Why as low as 90v?

RE: Garmin 1095 Mount

Hi. To mount our 1090 we purchased a flat plate from Amazon that has an adhesive sticker on bottom to attach it to our dash. Our dash is not smooth so the suction cup provided does not stay attached. The flat plate must be same size or larger than the suction cup or it will not work.
We love the unit and certainly enjoy the large screen. Great idea. Do you have a link? My initial search found a lot of metal ones, a few plastic but many of the plastic have rough surface.

RE: Garmin 1095 Mount

Well my Garmin RV990 I asume is similar. The suction cup stopped working and I ended up screwing it to the center overhead. Depends on how much a couple of screw holes bothers you in the dash.
Thanks. I assume you mean RV890. We don't mind using screws when needed.
