RE: Inverter Question

Sorry for slow reply, been on the road. First, thanks for the good advice. The power is good, checked with meter. The key is off and out. I have always turned it on and off, didn’t think it would be good to leave it on plugged in. It is the separate converter/inverter, 600 watts. Where is the transfer switch lockout? It is in the bay where the 50 amp cord comes in. Never fooled with it before, so give me the kindergarten directions. ?? Sorry. Please disregard my reply & questions. I was thinking original inverter/charger installed by factory.

RE: Inverter Question

secondary issue. Why do you turn it off when plugged in? We only turn ours off when taking MH in for maintenance. It is designed to roll over from shore to inverter with no loss of power to items on inverted circuits.

RE: Samsung RF18 Fridge

opnspaces is correct. We have an RF18, installed locally. No specific breaker. We added it to an already existing inverted plug. There is no off. We installed one of THESE. Only draw back is that if it goes off, it will not come back on unless we turn it back on. Not a big issue most of the time, though.

RE: inverter/charger

I have a 2013 Tiffin Allegro and it is not set up for the inverter/charger to charge the chassis battery. Why do you need to charge your chassis battery. Are you going to store and be away from it for more than 2 months? If so and , a trik-L charger or like item will be need, if not already installed.

RE: MOTOR HOME REPAIR

Well then thanks for no help. No reason to get snippy. He helped and you learned and adjusted. All good. Can’t help with any specific recommendations. But you might google mobile RV repair and the name of your nearest city. Usually turns up multiple hits with reviews and ratings. x2

RE: Windows 10 Email Program suggestions

I also use GMX mail on my W10 device, although gmail also works fine. Try GMX; it loads very quickly and has never failed me.What clients do you use for GMX and Gmail? Sorry, but was is meant by "clients"?A client is a ... well ... client. Explained by another poster right after your question. I was going to say "It's what the OP asked about" but then I read the OP carefully and s/he said "program" and I now think s/he meant "service" not program (a client is a program). I believe the OP was asking about an email client, not an email server/service. The OP references Thunderbird and how that program is not working correctly. OP, If you are still having issues with Thunderbird, you might try downloading the latest version, uninstall Thunderbird, reboot and then reinstall the latest version (68.5.0).

RE: Win 7 Question

What software do you think won't work on Win10? Yes there are some but research is needed to determine what you need to do. Can you contact the software company for each and see if there are updates for Win10? Is there an upgrade price? Is there a newer, Win10 compatible version. $25k is way too much, unless you have some really special software.

RE: Surge Protector

I chose an autoformer instead of a surge device, so that voltage may be corrected. Why? Because the main cause of damage is low voltage, and the current popular surge devices disconnect at a voltage that may cause damage. I use both. pedestal/autoformer/PI EMS/trailer MeToo - I use both. pedestal/autoformer/PI EMS/MH

RE: Fireplace in TV, Do they work?

Ours is warm enough, 1500W. Blower is light but produces no noise which is a plus. It will warm up a small area OK but not fast. For our 36' MH w/2 slides, it will not heat the whole space. Just the living area. It will keep the front of the MH warm if it starts out warm.

RE: Rez fridge question

2013 tiffin 36LA, Samasung RF18HFENBSR, 2 6v GC2, 230AH. with batteries at 12.7 I can get 10 hours out of them if I run nothing else but the parasitics and outside temp 70-85. That leaves the batts at 12.0-12.1.

RE: Need file repository for sharing large files

Do a bit of experimentation first, see what size you can get away with. Do this. ^^^^ Larger picture may mean larger file but larger file does not mean better picture. DPI is king.

RE: Need file repository for sharing large files

Moving (150) mega bytes is fairly easy these days. We live in a Giga/Tera world. You can buy 10 - 16GB USB Sticks for $30, on Amazon, and mail them around Drop box has free and very little cost plans.

RE: dealer advertising

No. Not a good starting point for financing anything. That is a dealer catch. You can get items within your monthly budget that are over priced and over valued. There are a number of free mortgage planners out there that can assist you in knowing what your max loan value is and help you fit it into your monthly budget but the dealer does not care about that. Figure out your loan ceiling and then stay within that when negotiating. Look for the best value within your budget.
