With ample batteries and solar recharging, you’ll be in great shape. Congratulations on the new rig. ^^^ This ^^^

RE: Should I level the RV?

Yes. That is correct for the fridge. No. You may need to be reasonably level to extend slides. Keep guides and gears from binding. See your manual.

RE: jackknife sofa removal

DP Class A. Two people. Unbolted from floor. Pulled it out. Opened the bed so the bed was flat. Right out the door.

RE: Hooking up to water/sewer

1. I use pressurized city water because it’s quiet. 2. Close your valves until you’re ready to dump. Ditto! We may also add water to the tank.

RE: No 110/plug in for pop up

What surge protector do you have? Many cut off power when volts drop to 104-105. This protects your systems from damage due to low voltage. Things working now does not mean it is defective. Removing it may put your systems at risk. Does the surge protector reset after being off for a while?

RE: EVs Stealing RV Campsites!! Not....

While I agree that what I am paying for diesel is immaterial and a rant, what is payed for at a CG for a site vs. what someone is stealing (plugging in the EV to the next site, without paying) is absolutely germane. The CG will get their money, even if it means raising everyone else's rates. Pay as you go.

RE: Where have all the members gone on this forum?

Also Old Biscuit, when going to his profile it says"member could not be found" Did he pizz off the wrong person and get banned again or was taken out by mistake like last time? He quit the forum and asked to have his account removed about a year ago. That's truly a shame; I really enjoyed his many very informative posts. :(I too benefited and enjoyed Chris Bryant's posts. His request to be deactivated/deleted speaks volumes.

RE: House AC went out can I hook up to 20 amp gfci

I would not run anything on the same line, in the house/garage, such as a freezer/washer/dryer in the garage.

RE: What's up with CGs?

What is wrong with a CG providing their legal expectations? Maybe not the best written but maybe they are trying to keep it as succinct as possible. They deal with the decent and unruly. Same message goes to all. No miscommunications.

RE: New to lithium battery

As others have said, you need to do some research. What is max input for your lithium batt? Can your charger be programmed to that max value?

RE: Residential Fridge battery run time

My signature shows the "missing" info. And, yes I can go more than a few days, but it's nice to be "topped off", just in case. Sorry. I did not look down. Thanks.

RE: Residential Fridge battery run time

After buying our new fiver, then adding solar, LFP batteries, and 3k inverter (see signature) we opted to replace the RV fridge (which was having issues) with a 20 cf Whirlpool res fridge. We are on our 4th day of boondocking and here are the results. Solar charged to 99% state of charge at end of 1st day. Solar charged to 96% SOC at end of 2nd day. So it looks like we will need to run the genny once every 4 or 5 days for an hour or two. Or we might add another 400 watts of solar. What is missing is how much battery AH you currently have and how many watts solar you currently have. Since LFP can be used down to 5% SOC, I would think you could easily go for a couple weeks, with current setup and usage.

RE: For Sale stuff. (question)

I found the "for sale" site you were looking for. It is on those other sites you mentioned.

RE: Residential Fridge battery run time

On the contrary, a residential fridge, when set up correctly with the right battery bank, an appropriate inverter to run it, and a generator to recharge when needed....Works very, very well for someone not planning to be near electrical hookups very much (boondocking). ^^^ This.
