RE: Sharp Microwave Oven Door

>> preheating it so there is no food stuck inside You were running it empty? It's a convection oven so it can be preheated. I took mine down to repair a problem...you need two people to remove it as it is very heavy and bulky.

RE: Had our catalytic converter stolen

https://www.yourcentralvalley.com/news/california/man-crushed-to-death-while-trying-to-steal-catalytic-converter-police-say/ This guy won't steal them anymore. They are worth more than gold as the below article explains when police found 100 stolen ones. https://www.yourcentralvalley.com/news/local-news/more-than-the-price-of-gold-and-silver-combined-thieves-cashing-in-on-catalytic-converters-2/

RE: Gas Vs Diesel Yah-Yah-Yah!

All my gasoline is free...or at least that's how I look at it. When we bought our new gas Monaco in 2004 we were debating between our $110,000 gasser or a $170,000 diesel that we liked. We decided $60,000 would buy a lot of gas and I've think we've spent it over the past 95,000 miles. If I had it to do over I would do the same thing.

RE: Squeaking From Motor

Probably the idler bearing for your fan belt. I've had two replaced in the past 95,000 miles.

RE: Towing a 2 wheel drive automatic transmission

Year make and model of the vehicle would help. I tow a 2 wheel drive car with an automatic transmission. All cars are not the same.

RE: Road conditions

I use that route several times a year in my coach with a 8.1 gas engine. You'll do fine. Word of caution...when headed west going down Pacheco pass keep your speed down to about 45mph, don't ride the brakes and drop your gears down to hold you back. What Chassis and engine do you have?

RE: Which of these 3 battery brands would you choose?

HHG in Austin said: ".be sure to buy a battery strap to pull the old ones and replacing the new….sure makes the whole process easier. They are heavy…." Amen to that!

RE: New Roof installed - RV Armor should I get it

I wouldn't...however I go on my roof about three times a year and re-caulk any cracks I see. Have been doing that for 14 years and never a leak yet. Old Navy ETN2 here 1963 to 1967.

RE: Dead batteries

I'd put the jumper cables on and let it charge the starting battery for about 20 to 30 minutes before I try to start it. Friend of mine just had the exact situation at his storage location, we let the car charge the battery and got it going.

Where are you buying them? Online or local?

RE: Need recommendation for a replacement inverter

I've seen complaints from other people who had problems running refrigerators off of inverters. I suggest you do some more research before replacing the inverter.

RE: Need recommendation for a replacement inverter

When you say refrigerator...is that a typical RV refrigerator with gas or electric option or is it a residential refrigerator? What brand/model refrigerator?

RE: Replacement Window Slide Lock

They sell "sex bolts" on Amazon which can be used to replace some rivets and look better than a shoulder bolt and nut. If I search on Amazon for Sex Bolts my wife is going to want to know what the heck is going on........

RE: Replacement Window Slide Lock

Is that lock held in place with a rivet? On my Monaco I have a broken one and it is riveted in. I'm not looking forward to drilling it out so I've used a piece of wood down in the channel to hold it closed temporarily.

RE: Coast to Coast east to west

If you take I-90 you will see a couple signs for Wall Drug in South Dakota. I suggest stopping there and getting some ice cream.

RE: Engine miss in hard rain

Yes, A Scan Gauge reads codes and I think it's a good investment. As time goes on you'll need it. I have an UltraGauge and it has paid for itself.

RE: Engine miss in hard rain
