RE: Slide out awning

It is well worth the money. A buddy and I have installed 3 of the Solera toppers. Here one of them is on our 2250DS. https://i.imgur.com/bwJa1Wbl.jpg

RE: Blocking "Restricted" Calls on Smartphone

https://www.samsung.com/au/support/mobile-devices/block-calls/ This has an option to block unknown numbers. Thanks, Bobby. I found the button to “block unknown callers”. I never knew it was there until you helped. Now we’ll see if it stops these idiots. BTW, I never answer an unrecognized call. If they leave no voicemail, it’s a scammer for sure. I am on AT&T and use AT&T Call Protect free app and it does a very good job of screening our Telemarketers and Spammers.

RE: TPMS

I have the TireMinder solar powered TPMS and it saved me twice on our recent 2400 mile camping trip. The failures were due to the metal/rubber high pressure stems. They developed leaks at different times on different tires. I suspect that the stems failed due to the pressure from the weight of the sensors. I finally got Discount Tire to replace these stems with full metal bolt on stems with a rubber seal inside the tire. I think this will be the answer. https://i.imgur.com/MdVOECjl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/hSRO61El.jpg

RE: Picture Posting Test Thread

Barney, I agree that something is wrong with Norton Life Lock. I have been getting these messages for over a year and simply ignore them and go ahead and use the Photo Posting site. By the way, a great site.

RE: Cool Mods - Thread restored 10/18/2012

I did not realize that yours has an integrated clearance light. I'm glad it is that way. I previously had an illegal wireless setup but when I changed to a wired camera I changed back to a center light. https://i.imgur.com/0Y2Npb3l.jpg https://i.imgur.com/gw0Ekt8l.jpg

Good looking camera installation but illegal. You will probably never be stopped. Look at this. https://i.imgur.com/kYKRThFl.jpg

RE: Amp hours

My suggestion would be to buy a digital DC current meter. Fully charge the batteries, clamp the meter over the positive lead and turn all the DC items you mentioned. Amazon has several to select from. Good investment.

RE: Any problems with Goodyear Endurance tires?

A lot of RV trailers come from the factory with tandem axles and leaf springs. A lot of manufactures, Winnebago for example, use very cheap nylon bushings on the spring ends, 7 per side. If the tires are not balanced the bushings wear out faster than if the tires are balanced. Not trying to start out a balance vs non-balance war, just laying out the facts. Here is a photo of the bushings that I changed out at 15,000 miles on my first RV trailer, non-balanced tires. I always keep my RV tires balanced now. https://i.imgur.com/4svB5UHl.jpg

RE: Morryde Step Above

We have the MORryde steps on our Winnebago 2250DS and love em. Here are a few photos. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Your photos display what is wrong with the MoreRyde steps. 1. They block the entrance. 2. They dump water and dirt inside. 3. They need to be swept/cleaned off. Each of those 3 issues are a deal breaker Torxlift steps are just as stable but have none of those flaws. Thanks Lantley for the list. None of those items bother me. I will continue to enjoy the MORryde.

RE: Morryde Step Above

How does Torqflite steps solve the problem with uneven ground level? I think Torqflite is a transmission. On my last RV trailer I had Torqlift Glow Step Revolution steps and they were really good but expensive. They had adjustable landing gear for uneven surfaces. https://i.imgur.com/blAUWKyl.jpg

RE: Morryde Step Above

I still want to know how you get into your rig with these stupid steps, while in storage, without having to move it far enough to get the steps down? Maybe the mfrs should put the door in the far a$$-end or have an attic ladder pull-down in the front? (sarcasm=off) Lyle Very simple Lyle. In my photos above, my Minnie is in storage. The storage is my backyard, and it is free storage.

RE: Mopeka tank app question

I discovered how to remove the extra tank from the app. Simply swipe it to the left and hit delete.

Mopeka tank app question

Today I replaced a sensor under warranty. On the tank check app on my Android phone I now have 3 tanks listed. How do I remove the one that I no longer want?

RE: Any problems with Goodyear Endurance tires?

Thanks everyone for your feedback. It looks like the Goodyear Endurance is performing well so far. So I going to put them on the my travel trailer. You won't regret it.

RE: New Source of TV While on the Road

The big advantage is that watching TV this way uses NO data on my phone plan, therefore no additional cost. Aren't you still downloading DTV content over the cell internet, thus using your data? Yes you are still streaming DirecTV from a cell tower and no you are not using data on your phone plan. The only disadvantage is that you are tying up your phone while watching TV. Not a problem for me. This link should answer your questions. Let me know what you think. https://www.att.com/directv/experience/watch-directv-app.html
