RE: Anyone interested in 83 Pace Arrow Tear down and Rebuild?

Ooooohh. A nice blend or fade to the main color sounds good. Would make a nice transition.

RE: Anyone interested in 83 Pace Arrow Tear down and Rebuild?

Doing just the counter end would make a different look where it doesn't look like a cave. And yes the lighter picture does make it look better. Also when the kitchen lights are in, it will change the look again.

That might be too much. Kind of looks like the kitchen is in a cave. I understand what you're going for but not sure I like that.

Wasn't sure at first but I'm beginning to like the stone look.Doing the end of the counter makes it look much better.

Wasn't sure about where you were going with the setup but I'm now seeing that you have a very good plan in place. It's looking very good.

RE: Protecting your trees

I have done gun stock work since the late 60s. While most of my work was with cherry and curly maple, walnut and figured walnut is awesome. Because arthur came to visit my knuckles, I have pretty much stopped working. That said, I do have a couple of pieces of stump walnut left. The color and figure in this wood is beautiful. At woodworkers shows, I usually wind up drooling over the walnut that's available. Wish I could still work with it. Treasure the walnuts that you have as they are getting tough to find.

RE: NY State Parks - interesting info

Not sure about the Parks and Rec campsites but the DC operated campgrounds will not be opened before June 7 at the earliest.

RE: Anyone interested in 83 Pace Arrow Tear down and Rebuild?

Would you consider laying up the sides with fiberglass as you would a boat? That would give you a solid exterior wall that you could finish either with gelcoat (costly) or automotive paint.

Looks like things are coming together nicely. I like the way you're using available space.

RE: 20 "official" inches of snow today

Heh Crowe, the kids in Northern NY had between 17 and 30 inches depending on the area. We had 35 degrees here in Florida this morning but still played golf at 9:30.

RE: Traveling Alone

The good - you're still out traveling, seeing the sights and meeting people. ( I snowbird and enjoy my friends in Florida.) You adapt to a different lifestyle traveling alone. Your children keep checking on you even after several years. The bad - your alone, even with a bunch of friends, and you still miss your other. But I have no intention of stopping
