RE: Outside Plugs

I think the OP is referring to the 120 volt outlets on the outside of the RV that are installed with a horizontal orientation. https://i.imgur.com/xt0Vucbl.jpg "border=0" https://i.imgur.com/m3zZPvb.pngClick For Full-Size Image.I don't have an answer WHY, but I was beginning to think that I was the only one that understood what the OP was talking about.:S That is what I thought also. But also why I am confused by the question as it makes no difference on how a cord hangs. Wrong answer....An internet search reveals that the ground pin should be up....

Outside Plugs

Is anyone beside me aggravated by the exterior plugs are horizontal ? It puts a strain on the cord of anything plugged into them. Why can't they be vertical like all the other receptacles?

RE: changed out MORyde steps

My wife would be scared to use that step style. maybe if younger. The handle looks like it wouldn't go out far enough but maybe the picture angle is the reason. Hope it is great for your needs. chevman The Glow rail attaches to the bottom step and the side of the rv and is very sturdy and easy to put on and take off.......Love mine

Repainting Front cap

Has anyone ever repainted their faded front cap themselves. Was it worth the effort verses having it professionally done at $ 2000.00 dollars ? also what did you use to accomplish this...

RE: Faded front cap

To repaint my car would be 500 bucks so why is a cap 2000.00. ?

RE: New style entry steps

The Torklift Revolution Glow Steps are a far better step. The are adjustable up an down and you can get in your camper even in a tight garage....

RE: Faded front cap

I just rattle canned a used tractor I bought and it came out real nice. Anything is possible. I was thinking that but it is fiberglass and I do not want it to look worse than it does already....

Faded front cap

Has anyone ever repainted their front cap themselves? I cannot afford $ 2000.00 to have the rv dealer do it. I also wonder if a plain wrap would be cost affective?

RE: Front Cap Fading

if you stored the RV inside it would never be an issue. Outside (in the weather) storage is not only hard on the paint, it's hard on the seals ans caulk too. I keep mine inside unless I'm using it. I realize not everyone can do that but a cover when not in use is a good alternative as well. ADCO makes some nice ones. Sadily this was stored in a fully enclosed building. It is in the dark all the time except when we take it out to go camping. It was a manufacturing defect that the company weaseled out of repairing when it was new. It is a Heartland Big country.

Front Cap Fading

I was wondering if the fading of the front cap on my 2011 5th wheel could be fixed by using rubbing compound to bring back the color then coating it with a liquid floor wax. I forget the name of it. OR would it start to flake off?

RE: Amp Draw

If nothing is turned on mine will draw .4 amps. Newer MH's will probably draw more. If you see more than 2 amps something is probably on. How much is your amp draw? I am wondering about parasitic draw.....
