RE: Storing with blank tanks 1/4 full???

Only problem I can think of is poor installation of the tank. If it can't handle the extra weight you might end up having a problem. More so with more weight but it could happen with just 1/4 tank.

RE: Parking RV at home

Don't know where you are parking it or if HOA allow but if you can, ther is no better place to park it than at home. Easy to load for a trip, and if the power goes out you still have a place to cook dinner if needed. If you are able to park at home, I would set up an RV metal carport and call it good. Run some power to it and run a small heater in the winter to keep it dry and smelling good.

RE: Towing Travel Trailers

Hello, yes I pull a 37 ft Grand Design travel trailer.. Started with a 2500 Gm went to a 3500 GM just cause. I would recomend a weight Distrubtion Hitch with built in sway control. Only problem I have had was finding a spot for the long trailer a couple times. Get it set up right and you will be fine. Just don't try to pull the thing with too small a rig. Grand Design makes some very nice travel trailers, better than most, not sure but we are very happy with ours.Haven't pulled a 5th wheel as I use the bed space and have a canopy. My rig has around 1,500 lbs of tongue weight and I am using a Reese Straight Line with Dual Cam setup.

RE: Road trip Portland OR to Las Vegas

Just came back to WA on US-93, more to look at than US-95. Gas in Nevada can be a challenge which ever way you go if you push your luck. Just keep the gague on the top half and all should be good.

RE: Level Travel Trailer

Using a level to check it will only work if the area it is sitting on is level. I use the trim strip and measure to the ground near the front and rear of the trailer. If you are parked on the roadway remember the road most likely slopes from center to edge. The dealer would be my last choice to set up a hitch.

RE: Second AC worth it?

If you stay in a park, you are paying for the electricty anyway so you might as well be able to cool the rig off. It surely makes sleeping eaiser. We only have one and it is ok, just ok. Wish we had two when traveling when it is hot and humid .

RE: Highway 99 from Bakersfield to towards Oregon

Stop and go traffic could be a problem at times as it is a very busy freeway but no traffic lights to deal with.

RE: Propane vs Electric Heating

If you are staying in one spot for a while, check with the propane place and see if they will place a larger tank and fill it onsite.
