RE: No Bumper -- Where do you store the sewage hose?

In our search for a used 5th wheel I have noticed a number of fifth wheels do not have the four-inch square bumper to store the sewer hose in. On these fifth wheels where do you store the sewage hose? Some have hose storage like this on side of trailer. http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL992/4288072/24300166/405562033.jpg Problem is if you want to used Rhinoflex hose it won't fit! http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL992/4288072/24300166/405829439.jpg To cure that problem you need to cut out door assembly and mount fence post cover to it. http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL992/4288072/24300166/405562029.jpg Rain gutter maks a good tray for hose. http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL992/4288072/24300166/405562032.jpg http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL992/4288072/24300166/405795092.jpg C.B.

RE: How often and how to clean black tank

After reading about the geo method for days I decide to clean my tanks for the first time. This morning I treated both gray tanks with 1 cup of Zep Heavy Duty Citrus Degreaser in 5 gallons of water. The black tank I used 1 cup of Borax (had a hard time finding, couldn't find Calgon in any local stores) and 1 cup of Cascade dish washer soap to 5 gallons of water. Will be traveling about 45 miles today. Will be dumping tanks on Sunday. C.B.

RE: Honda 2200i or Honda 2200i Companion?

Why would you not get the 2200 Companion first? That way you can plug in to your 30amp plug from generator to trailer. without 30 to 20 dog bone. C.B.

RE: BIL with Superglide drops his trailer

I agree with ford truck guy. 17 years on my 16K Superglide without a problem. Two things I religiously look at when hitching. Handel is all the way in and locked. Latch is wrapped around king pin. Latch on Pullrite wraps around the king pin not just a bar across. Have never had an issue with unhitching. C.B.

RE: Rearview camera hardwired on fifth wheel

Had the same problem on my 40' Cedar Creek. Moved the antenna to the front cap. No way was I going to a hard wired camera. http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL992/4288072/24809880/413918459.jpg Ran the cable to the back attaching to to A/C's and vents. In between used White silicone to attach to roof. Cable has not moved since Summer of 2014 Picture doesn't skip a beat. C.B.

RE: Residential Refrigerator – Good or avoid?

Residential refrigerators are the best. I would never go back to a Dometic or a NoCold gas refrigerator. They work better and have less of a chance of catching fire. X2 C.B.

RE: Visiting Family in Memphis, need safe rv park

Look south across the border. We’ve stayed at EZ Daze. Broke down on way home from Milton FL. Stayed at EZ Daze last August for 4 days. Good Sam Club discount. Very, very clean well kept facility. If you need service work done while there the team at Landers Ford are great. C.B.

RE: 5er hitch options RAM MegaCab w/6'4" bed - Solitude 310GK

We used a Pullrite Superglide on two of our MegaCabs. Never had to worry about cab clearence. Pullrite makes an adapter for the Ram puck system. Ditto: 16 years of worry free towing on a 16K SuperGlide. C.B.

RE: Furnace failure

I also have a SF-30F Suburban Furnace. It did the same thing that yours is doing. Had it checked out. Everything tested good. Then the RV mechanic took this part off the furnace. Took the orifice out. tapped the tube on the counter and rust particles fell out. There was one plugging the orifice http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL992/4288072/24847018/414325578.jpg Looking in the tube we can see it is rusting on the inside. Ordered part two weeks ago. Now it is on backorder till after 12/15/19. C.B.

RE: Furnace works; then doesn't; works again?

This could be your problem. I'm having the same problem with a Suburban furnace in my 2006 Cherokee. http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL992/4288072/24847018/414325575.jpg http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL992/4288072/24847018/414325577.jpg After doing all kinds of testing we found this. http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL992/4288072/24847018/414325578.jpg The tube that brings propane to the orifice has rusted on the inside. Speck of rust blocks propane flow and furnace will not ignite. Clean out tube and furnace will work til another piece of rust plugs orifice again. This must be happening a lot. the part from Suburban is on national back order. C.B.
