RE: Why Tesla's are bad at towing!

Tesla said they have a goal of installing solar panels on the roof.

RE: A Veterans memorial service

What a coincidence. I am a member of a local group chartered as a non-profit with DOD that does funerals at no charge to the families. M-1 Garands and active duty uniforms and bugle. We will give a speech of the deceased military record, lift the flag as you said and fire a rifle volley, present those spent rounds to family, play taps and fold and present the flag to the family along with 3 polished rounds and a memento from our group. We pay for our own uniform and expenses from our own pockets. Sometimes the funeral home will give us a donation and have fund raisers to cover our expenses. Years ago all veterans were given a burial by active duty but times have changed and it is now 3 active duty from the branch of service the deceased was part of. It is the base commanders decision whether to provide active duty. Active duty only shows up about 10% of the time. We will do approximately 300 of the funerals this year. We are seeing more and more Vietnam veterans passing. http://www.setvsg.com/ https://youtu.be/JHXgKJJdhQM The video is from a time before the new uniform changes If you know of someone who is a veteran and has passed, ask the funeral home if they can arrange military honors. Most families do not know this.

RE: Buying 2019 RAM 3500 DRW - discount expectations?

How much of that discount is from factory? I sometimes see rebates and other incentives from the factory yet often times dealer discount is not included.

RE: Ohio State vs Michigan!

No dog in this fight, (being a SEC fan), but I sure am pulling for Michigan to win, I hate Ohio State, well "hate" is too strong a word. Dislike may be more appropriate. LSU in going to clean the plate with a retread OSU quarterback.... LSU fan here. Don't count your chickens before they hatch.

RE: Ohio State vs Michigan!

Oughta be a law that they can't broadcast all these rivalry games at the same time. I need 4 TV's right now. Some of the lowly teams are playing for pride, but that can be powerful stuff when the opponent is a highly ranked team. :B

RE: Ohio State vs Michigan!

Then why did your LSU adopt our #2 QB Joe Burrow? Here's my thinking. Coaches field the best players they believe will win. Not always the case but IMO, Ohio State has long had QB's that can win. Not always in the NFL though. We are thankful that Burrow came to LSU. My question is will LSU relapse to the running game after Burrow leaves? Brennan has not played enough to show me that he can be as good as Burrow. I have not seen or heard much of Clemson this year unless I do a search about them. Trevor Lawrence seems to have overcome his miscues from earlier in the season. Swinney knows how to analyze and prepare for big games. Remember Alabama last year? Now they seem to be the silent team but would not count them out and believe they stand a good chance of winning another championship.

RE: Thanksgiving, 1970 49 years ago....

I entered country on March 15 1969. Spent a year in I Corp with 630th Combat Engineers building roads to the DMZ and A Shau Valley. I was told one afternoon that I was going home the next morning. When I said "I have 10 days left." The response was " There is an empty seat on a plane and if you want to be on it you better be ready." Left 10 days early and 7 days after I left our platoon got overrun and 7 of my friends died. I am still haunted by that. The wife and I had just married and we spent 2 months together in 2 years. We celebrated our 51st anniversary last March 2nd which is Texas Independence Day. I still mourn those we lost and think often about those who made it back thinking someone they loved would be waiting only to find that they had broken their promise. It was a sad time in our country and most of us had no idea of what what happening here as we seldom had news except for letters from home.

RE: Stabil or Seafoam for long term gas can storage?

Sea Foam is good but I use Stabil Red in everything. I exercise Generators several times a year and have no issue. If I have issues I use Berryman B-12. Seems to work as well as Seafoam.

RE: I'm In College Football Haven Over Here!

Could't get OSU here today. Watching Auburn vs. Georgia. On side gives Auburn the ball but I think it is to little to late. Also Army vs. VMI.

RE: Who would you vote for The Heisman?

The best football team in America slayed the giant today. Sorry Bags but my Tigers deserve to be #1. More games to play to determine the national champions. To defeat Bama is as sweet as a national championship. Burreaux is special. A kid who left OSU and became, in 2 years, the greatest and most loved QB in LSU history.

RE: I'm In College Football Haven Over Here!

Still have a half to play but LSU has made few mistakes. Twice Burrow gave up yards when he could have thrown it away. Bama makes good second half adjustments. It ain't over until the clock shows zero.

RE: I want to widen football field dimensions...

I guess somebody didn't like my idea to widen the sidelines out to fit something important. I believe your guess is correct.:B

RE: I want to widen football field dimensions...

Years ago there was talk about requiring only one foot being required to have a reception instead of two. The rational to keep 2 was because it would be unfair to previous records.

RE: I'm In College Football Haven Over Here!

Alabama dropped because of strength of schedule and has only beaten 1 top 25 team whereas LSU has beaten 3 top 10 teams. This is not to say Alabama is not a great team but it is what it is. I still believe, at this time, that the road to national championship goes through Alabama. This weekend will clear things up a little more. Geaux Tigers.

RE: I'm In College Football Haven Over Here!

That shocked me. I thought after yesterdays game they would fall to #3. LSU has beaten more ranked teams so I guess that helped. Real test is Alabama in 2 weeks and Alabama will seek revenge. I sound like a worry wart at times but they need to be more consistent and run more in the running game.

RE: I'm In College Football Haven Over Here!

5 minutes left in 3rd quarter and LSU does not look like a #2 team. I suspect Bags OSU team will become #2. Fumbles, turnovers, penalties, interceptions and lack of discipline are not traits of great teams.

RE: Transynd ??

If your unit came with Transynd it should not require changing unless you have some kind of transmission failure or it becomes contaminated. And, I would suggest that if this is the OE fluid and therefore at least 12 years old, it is well worth changing (along with the filter). You are sooooo correct:)

RE: Transynd ??

If your unit came with Transynd it should not require changing unless you have some kind of transmission failure or it becomes contaminated. You should only have to top it off if you have some loss. On previous trucks with the Allison 1000 I swapped over to Transynd from Dexron V11. Had to do a double drain and fill then according to the person who helped develop Transynd it should last a life time. Look at the Class A forum and there is a "sticky" where he have answered many questions. Your owners manual should give you details on when to drain and you may have already reviewed it. I would request a sample bottle from Blackstone and send it in. It would give you details on the condition of your oil. I did not find a "sticky" after a search but hopefully this will post: https://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/24963117.cfm
