RE: Marco & Laura

When we lived in that area we liked Fairview-Riverside. 50 Amp and water and WI-FI. Has a few with sewer but they are reserved for handicap. Several good restaurantshttps://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurants-g40293-Madisonville_Louisiana.html and you are close to lake Ponchartrain

RE: Pulling more than 50 amps ?

Calling the guy an ignorant idiot is just plain wrong. It is entirely possible that a large RV with 3 AC's to draw more than 50 AMPs on one leg. An RV with 3 AC's probably has a laundry, large refrigerator and possibly a dishwasher and numerous other appliances. It doesn't matter how much the other leg is drawing, the breaker trips if just one exceeds 50 AMP. Would not the AC be divided and not all on one leg?

RE: RV carport/shelter

Mine is is 20x40 for my 29" class C , I have 3 sides closed with the front open, (no door) my RV is 11' 4" to top of AC, my front opening is 12ft. This is the co. I used.https://www.carolinacarportsinc.com/ I've gotten some quotes from this Carolina Carports. They said a 10' side wall goes to 11' 6" center peak height. I'm looking to see what height the side wall would be. Little confused here. Based upon what you said the wall would be 10'. Measured mine and side wall is 12'before the arch is added and 15'3" at the center peak. Overall mine is 24'wide by 40'. What ever you do make sure it is long enough to protect the camper on the open end.

RE: Cooper Tires

Charlie D, I found on our fleet vehicles, tires with a softer rubber compound such as Goodyear Eagles will grip real well on dry pavement but wear faster. Maybe the HT3's are made that way too. Its a con for a tire that grips. I ran the AT3's on GM 2500 for about 40k before I changed them out but I was using them in deep snow and needed new deep tread. Seems to be a problem for most brands. Towing wears them out quicker. Never had an issue.

RE: Extended warranty refund

Had the same problem on the first camper I purchased. After many calls they finally deducted it from the principal I owed. If you get it resolved and they deduct from your principal take note of what you owe now and make sure that you final payment reflects that.

RE: This could be a problem

In my opinion people are more apt to purchase new vehicles that RV's and we know how bad the auto market is. I would believe the increase IF people are losing their homes and looking to purchase an RV to live in. Many have been doing so in the past few years. I believe that foreclosures of homes have not been a major issue but could be soon.

RE: Cd's into zip drive so I can play them in new car

Does the car have an SD card slot? Or a USB reader? My 2018 truck has a USB input in the console. I put a bunch of CDs onto an SD card, and using an SD to USB adapter, I play them through that. JK ^^^^. I loaded CD's onto my computer and then sent them to a USB. Not all CD will allow you to copy. Thousands of free songs on the internet you can download. Of course you will need a USB slot in your vehicle.

RE: 2021 College Football Recruiting Rankings Top (16)

Here you go Bags. As predicted, Joe Burrow's #1 and back in Ohio. Here are some info. and comments I found. The image of Burrow, legs crossed, puffing on a victory cigar after winning the national championship is quite simply the snapshot of the college football season. Burrow and the LSU Tigers dominated from start to finish, with Burrow winning the Heisman by record margins -- including highest percentage of points (93.8) and first-place votes (90.7) -- in one of the great quarterback seasons of all-time. He completed 76.3 percent of his passes for 5,671 yards and 60 touchdowns with only six interceptions, setting an FBS record for passing efficiency with a 202.0 rating. That was the culmination of a remarkable story for the kid from Athens, Ohio, who spent three seasons at Ohio State, including a redshirt year. When he failed to win the job after spring practice 2018, ending up third string behind Dwayne Haskins and Tate Martell, he transferred to LSU, where he started in 2018 and posted solid numbers (2,894 yards, 16 TDs). But it wasn't until coach Ed Orgeron imported whiz kid Joe Brady from the NFL as the passing game coordinator that LSU unlocked and unleashed its full potential behind an up-tempo, spread offense in which Burrow was nearly flawless. Burrow declined to test or work out at the NFL Scouting Combine, acknowledging that his terrific season provided him some "leverage," but he interviewed with teams and is the odd-on favorite to go first overall. Analysis Burrow is a poised, confident gunslinger with a "gamer" mentality and impressive accuracy to attack the entire field. He's a coach's son, and it shows with his intelligence on and off the field, as he graduated early from Ohio State to transfer to LSU with two years of eligibility remaining. Impressive pre-snap diagnosis, routinely taking easy short passes to move the chains while demonstrating the velocity, touch and accuracy to attack at the intermediate and deep levels. Flashes terrific ball placement on especially difficult deep out-cutting throws near the sideline (Alabama, Auburn), as well as over the top (Texas). May not possess a true rocket but understands velocity, adjusting his throwing angle and speed as necessary to give his receiver the best chance at making the catch. Senses the rush with better spatial awareness of creeping defenders than his playing time suggests. Highly competitive and a creative, tough scrambler who keeps his eyes downfield to exhaust passing opportunities before crossing the line of scrimmage. Is very effective when he does choose to run, capitalizing on holes in the defense and inspiring his teammates with strong, sneaky-fast scrambles. Burrow has only two seasons as a starting quarterback and has been surrounded by elite talent at LSU and Ohio State. At times, he can be a bit methodical with his reads, staring down receivers and providing defenders opportunities to make plays on the ball. Lacks "wow" physical characteristics with average to slightly above-average size, speed and arm strength in comparison to other top QB prospects. Unafraid to challenge tight windows, providing opportunities for his receivers -- but also defensive backs -- to battle for the ball. Willing to lead his receivers into contact. PRO COMPARISON Kirk Cousins, Minnesota Vikings -- Savvy, tough and possessing Pro Bowl-caliber accuracy, Burrow is a future franchise quarterback who won't have to wait nearly as long on draft day to hear his name called as Cousins, whom Washington nabbed 102nd overall back in 2012. RE: And Texas Caves In

Last I heard, Sweden is having more cases then countries around. Another thought about laid off medical workers. If the hospitals can not get the equipment to protect them might be better not have them come to work. Heard from who? Link please if you have it. Cuomo WAY overestimates the need for ventilators. Gives them away to other states. So it looks like Cuomo's gloom and doom ventilator need didn't pan out for him. That's a good thing. We now know the computer modeling they used sucked about as bad as Windows Vista. It's beginning to look like CDC's 60K death toll is going to be close to correct. It's good to see they are finally starting to use better modeling because the last one sucked! Glad I have time to read the forum today as I haven't been on the Net much. Cuomo also sent ventilator to another state. Screamed for 40,000 of those ventilator beyond those he already had. Requested a hospital ship that went pretty much unused, will be receiving patients from Philadelphia, set up the Javit's Center and several others with thousands of beds. One hospital existed for 2-3 days, never saw a patient and was then disassembled. I do watch the morning news and tune in to his conferences but CNN's darling is on the national news too much. One thing I am curious about, info may be out there, but what are the numbers of successful treatments, how many have been released, how many are in the hospital and how many are infected and not being hospitalized ?

RE: 2021 College Football Recruiting Rankings Top (16)

I have very little doubt that Clemson will start the season #1 with Trevor Lawrence running the offense. I have very little doubt that Alabama will be in the thick of things with Saban running that show. Yes. I think this is a more realistic ranking.https://www.yardbarker.com/college_football/articles/ranking_the_top_10_college_football_teams_for_2020/s1_12680_31752170

You can't argue with Texas.....they just don't think enough for things to matter to them. Surely you jest. Statements like that from California are to be laughed at and discarded as a model for anything.:)

RE: 2021 College Football Recruiting Rankings Top (16)

I can't believe some of those rankings BUT time will tell and it is early. Will have to go beyond commitments and look at the signings and how they go. I believe LSU should be slightly higher but until we see how the QB situation goes it is anyone's guess. Sadly, Coach O filed for divorce from his wife of 23 years last week. The Tiger nation is in shock. She had stood behind him for many tough years. That brave woman has had too many surgeries to count. Scoliosis at a very young age. Her colon was nicked during one surgery and she almost died. A walking miracle. https://www.si.com/college/2018/07/02/kelly-orgeron-lsu-tigers

RE: 20 year loan for RV?

"You can deduct the mortgage interest as a second home." Not necessarily... recent changes in the new tax laws have restricted if not eliminated this deduction entirely for most folks. Better check with your accountant/tax advisor. :C :) With the new tax laws it is getting harder to use deductions. Married filing jointly has a stand deduction of $27,000. You must have deductions greater than that to claim anything.

RE: Is A New 2018 Still New?

No offense but it seems, to me, that you are emotionally attached to that unit. If so, time to step back and readjust your thinking. Emotional attachment clouds our thinking.

RE: Is A New 2018 Still New?

Thanks for all the feedback. It's priced about $5,000 below the best price on a new 2020 model. I think I will offer about $5,000 lower and if they won't take that I'll probably try to get the new 2020 model. Don't forget that RV's have a very high markup. A $5,000 reduced price over a new unit is not enough money. What is the MSRP of a new unit vs. what a negotiated price? Lot's of money between the 2.
