RE: Thinkg of an Arctic Fox 990 - discount % off new?

I need help understanding where these private party sellers are getting their prices. When I search the Nada guides, the prices are significantly less than these people are asking, sometimes as much as $10,000. There's a used 2016 AF 1150 asking $29k, but NADA has the retail price of $20k - $24k. What am I missing? Private party sellers have the item, and can ask whatever they want for it. Doesn't mean they'll get it, but they can ask! Maybe they are upside down on what they may still owe on it, and the ask price gets them out whole. Hard to say, can be many reasons. But they will only get what the market will bear when all is said and done.

RE: Mattress Size & Thickness Recommendations (Bigfoot 2500)

Ours is regular queen-size (60 x 80). As far as getting old out and new in. See if you can get the new "installed". :):)

RE: Eagle Cap 1160 Dump Valves

We did the same as Billyray. Works just fine, certainly one heck of a lot better than getting that "surprise" every time I opened the dump valve.

RE: Atwood Thermostat HFH2000

Might be a dumb question, but did you ensure the 12V cutoff was on? Was thinking the same thing Jim. Try the simple stuff first..

RE: Anza Borrego to the Sequoia’s for Thanksgiving Break

Fabulous trip Anutami!! My first thoughts are that is the kind of trip that generates life-long memories. Absolutely priceless. Many thanks for sharing some beautiful pics.

RE: TR: The Road to winning a National Championship

Fabulous Eric! Mega kudos to Ruth and Wyleigh. They certainly earned them. Awesome cross-cntry and return trip, especially at this time of year. Some nasty traveling (as you found out). Glad you made it safely, my friend.

RE: Ramblin' 2019 is over!

Welcome home, Ralph. Love your annual ramblings and photo journey even as I shake my head at the work that must go into such a production. You are inspiring, my friend. Thanks again.

RE: Carport

One surprise on mine were some diagonal braces that I didn't notice in the pictures. These braces reduces the height by about 10" at the eaves and if you are planning on all the height available (all thee way to the wall) it could be a problem. In my case I just have to be a little careful backing in if I crowd the side, the trailer is the distance from the wall that I want I just have to be careful not to hit one of the diagonals if I don't go in straight. I have 3 sides enclosed and the front open, where I have mine installed there is heavy woods on two sides so I had steel installed on those sides, the side towards the house I put siding that matches the house. Thanks. I noticed those braces as well and asked for a drawing today showing the dimensions. I have decided to go with 24’ wd so I should have enough room. Thx, Bill Bill, even though you want to keep the width to a minimum, you will not regret going to 24. I've got 24 in mine (garage/barn) and wish I had gone at least 26.

RE: New Moderator

There is a business to preserve that funds this forum which is why some of the rules are in place and the forum content does reflect on the business which is why there are some other rules. I look at it like we have been invited to someone's home and need to respect their rules so we continue to be invited back. Besides, why would anyone visit somewhere that reflected poorly on them? I guess that's a little of my old world upbringing where reputation and family name still mean something. Good post, reflective of an admirable point of view for the position accepted, Chief! Thanks for taking over a sometimes thankless job. Wishing the best of luck. :)

RE: Downloading at Campground

BradW said: “Dang manual trannies, you just can't depend on them.....give me a good reliable automatic any day.” I guess old dogs CAN learn new tricks when necessary! :W :):) I admit I was wrong about the new automatics. They have come a VERY long way. Had to do a double-take on this to make sure it was actually Brad writing. :):)

RE: Anyone using Dicor Non Sagging Caulk for windows/doors?

I use the non-sag on vertical and the self-leveling on the roof. Like the job both are doing.

RE: 2018 F350 CB Antenna Front Bumper Mount

Hey Brad, got to agree with Lantley on this one. Think that mount would drive me nuts sitting out there. But, totally off topic here...Dang that is a purty truck!! :):)

RE: Us 2 mackinaw to Kalispell

HEY Stew, have taken that route a couple times, and actually much prefer it on a cross-country sojourn. If you have the time it gets even more beautiful beyond Kalispell meandering on to the West coast. Happy camping!
