RE: Replacement catalytic converter

NorCal Muffler in Manteca services Motorhomes. They can also weld rebar on the tubes to help protect from thieves.

RE: Replacement catalytic converter

There is a Shop in Manteca Nor-Cal Muffler and Truck. They can install it and make a cage with re-bar. Monkey's (that's the name of the shop) can do it also.

RE: Exhaust rattle

Could also be a rusted/loose baffle inside of the muffler, at lower RPM it is more noticeable. Must be this. Nothing else appears to be loose or cracked. It rattles at 1900 to 2100RPM only.

polishing front cap on a Class C

The front cap on my 2011 Class C is a bit faded and dull. What are you folks using to get rid of the light oxidation and polish it up?? Wish I had a scaffold to reach it all by hand..

RE: Exhaust rattle

No. Hayward Calif. Aww man. Checked everything I could find except the muffler heat shield. I'm bringing it home next weekend. Will check it then.. Hopefully it's not a Harmonic rattle.

Exhaust rattle

I have a 2011 31' Jayco Greyhawk Class C. My catalytic converter was stolen so I made a straight pipe to replace it for the time being.(I have the new cat. but don't want to install it for fear of it being stolen again) All bolted up fine. Now I have a rattle at about 1500 RPM. its in the exhaust almost to the end. I checked the whole run and nothing is cracks or touching anything it shouldn't. Any suggestions??

RE: Catalytic Connverter

Found a Calif. compliant cat. $1100.00. Think I'm going to make a straight tube and leave it in until it's time for a smog check then install the cat and remove it after the check. Then they can't steal it. I'm sure it will throw a code. I can clear it before the smog check. Will this mess up anything??

RE: Catalytic Connverter

I found one through Fordparts.com. A bit over $1000 but I got it. Insurance paid for most of it. Didn't think about it, but there is an O2 sensor in the cat. Now trying to find the part number for it.

Catalytic Connverter

Well, they got me last night. The cat thieves stole my catalytic converter off of my 2011 Jayco Greyhawk. It's on a ford E-450 Superduty chassis. I have looked for over an hour for a replacement and so far I can find them, but they do not ship to California. I'm in the central valley. Not sure what the problem is. Does anyone know of a place I can find one??
