RE: Do you sanitize your black tank?

"Sanitize" might different things to different people. Using chemicals of any kind could be considered as sanitize in my mind. It certainly doesn't mean germ free. Consider the name, "sanitary napkin". I think a line was just crossed.......

RE: Dump Station Etiquette???

The shop is 40' wide by 30' deep and built of wood. We use the pad for our RV in the Summers. Shop needs pressure washing! So here is another pic. I "Assumed" I was off restriction??? https://i.imgur.com/9olU2YBl.jpg

RE: Air Bag Pressure

I leave mine at the minimal when riding around empty, when I hook up it goes to 30, I just leave it there. Haven’t touched the buttons in years. That is what I did with the 11 DRW. Empty 5psi and it would go to 30 when loaded. Wife would make basic adjustments from inside the cab. First pic no air bags, second bagged at 30psi. Basically same ride height with 4,500# pin. Same roads with bags and Bilstein's made an amazing ride quality difference. https://i.imgur.com/OTvQIovl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/kZ6pTgRl.jpg

CRAZY, my wife's 99 Tahoe 350 Vortec has 240k and can set for a month at a time with zero noise at startup.

RE: Wire gauge for a 200 ft run on 30 amps or 50 amps?

You can use a different insulation on the wire that is less expensive if it goes in conduit as compared to USE type direct burial wire was my point. Still needs to be rated for potential water that can get into conduit. I thought I was being smart bu pulling romex thru 3/4” pvc that was well glued. After a couple years the hot went to ground.

RE: Do you sanitize your black tank?

I don't have to worry about it any more. We don't dry camp, so I had it removed and a residential toilet installed. I still have the gray tank and it's valve is always open as is the black tank valve Back when we had it; We used the proper chemicals and dumped once a week. Then I would flush it with ten gallons of water. When not in use I would keep a few gallons of water with the chemicals in it. Never had a problem doing that with three different trailers over a 30 year span Guy How do you know you are not getting a dreaded "poop pyramid" ???

RE: Air Bag Pressure

15 PSI, 2,000# on the pin, 41 gallon auxiliary tank and 300#+ hitch. I need some truck squat to get everything level. Level is good! I see too many people running down the highway with their rear at or higher than their unloaded ride height and front of 5er way nose high because of overinflated air bags. Then they wonder why they have chucking and a poor ride.

RE: Air Bag Pressure

I run 20psi just to help the coil springs on the dips at bridges. TXiceman, my air bags say I can carry 5,000 lbs more. LOL The air springs DO NOT increase the load capacity of the truck. All you can say is the air springs an carry 5000#. The truck is rated for what is stamped on the stickers inside the door jamb. Ken On paper no but reality is YES. Simply look at the weak springs and tell me bags don't add capacity. Axle is rated at 9,750#. https://i.imgur.com/EeuCd6rl.jpg

RE: Air Bag Pressure

Hi, For those of you with air bags on the rear axle and a fifth wheel, how much pressure do you use? I started with 30 PSI and now increased to 38 PSI. About 2,750# of pin weight. Crespro Bottom line add enough air to keep truck setting level to slightly rear high. This keeps you ON the overloads. My 2011 DRW RAM I ran 30psi LOADED with 4,500# pin weight. The ride was AWESOME!!!

RE: Dump Station Etiquette???

When we used to local camp I get tired of dealing with the lines so I poured a 14' x 30' pad with 50A, Water and Sewer.

RE: Anyone towing 5ver with lifted truck?

So it must be ok.

RE: Air ride suspension or not?

And by track bar, 12V means traction bar (aka ladder bars for the old school guys!) not track bar as in keeps the axle located transversely. In this case the leafs do that Sorry Tonto I did not mention track bar. Looks like Russ is the guilty one. :B
