RE: What % Of Alcohol Does Your State Have?

afidel I have to give you credit for digging in a little bit deeper. ;)
Getting right down to it. My go pedal on the Toyo seems a bit more "spongier" when running on the E 15. :h

RE: What % Of Alcohol Does Your State Have?

The only vehicles that should run E15 are those that are already flex-fuel certified (ie can run E85), anyone running E15 in a non-flex system is in for a world of hurt with very expensive repair bill coming most likely.
Where did that info come from. Toyo says to not run greater than E 15 in my highlander. :h

RE: Revisiting rust on propane tank

you could always prime/seal with phosphoric acid. Coverts iron oxide into iron phosphate which is inert. Same principle as POR. Stuff was available in the paint prep section at Home Depot when I bought it.
Google should expound on the subject.

RE: Help with fuel transfer valve

Just put a veton 12 volt normally closed fuel valve in the line. Hook it up to 12 volts with the switch in the cab to open it. You can open or close it based on your fuel gauge. My such valve has been working flawlessly for years. Aux tank needs a vent, cap or otherwise.

RE: Cleaning A/C coils: DIY or hire a pro? (See March 8 update)

I had freeze up probs once. It turned out that the ice sensor had fallen out of the coils.
Unless you pull the unit, aren't the evap coils only accessible from the inside? Mine just has the condenser coils accessible from the roof. The roof coils are the hot side. :h

RE: Icemaker quit --- any ideas ?

Joe, on second thought I have a Samsung in the stick house that has french doors and the ice dispenser in the frig compartment. It has quit three times. Problem has always been a freeze up. I got the fix down to a science now. Pull the cube drawer/catcher and use the DW hair drier on the innerds until all ice in the mechanism is thawed. Turn the power back on and it is good to go for a year or so. ;)

RE: Tank treatment that can restore sensor accuracy?

As Don stated above, IF your drain tube is not straight a wand from the top will do little to nothing.
Unless it is a Flexible One:B
Yeah ichabod, you can lead some horses to water but you can't make them drink. :B

RE: Tank treatment that can restore sensor accuracy?

I guess I could be wrong, but after using the wand my black tank sensors work as they should. :h
Sigh, it kinda felt good to be whatever. ;)

RE: need help, lost keys

Holymoley Thomas, I would have done the same thing on the wife's Highlander. I gotta converse with google or the manual on that one.
ON edit, after reviewing some youtubes, I learned nothing about frying the fob. Enlighten me on the trick please.

RE: Trouble finding alcohol free RV antifreeze this season?

The alcohol-based stuff has two things I would like to avoid. First is it is flammable.
I saw this flammable legend a few years back. Hmmmmm, so being curious I poured some on the pad in front of the barn and took to it with a portable propane torch. Could not get it to light. :h
