RE: Bus crash on Utah 12

I don't open or read that stuff, however it is mind boggling when I see the thread title that that stuff is so popular.

RE: Will fifth wheel front hit truck back window?

JIM, lets not get practical here. ;) Come 1 Oct I am slamming the king pin into that trashy ole Reese hitch in the back of my short box Ford and heading for the east coast.

RE: Champion 2k in storage for three years. Advice starting it?

I would have already done it timetorol's way. BTW my D 15 has not been run for a year. Gonna try to crank her up today. Think I should roll it around in the barn first? ;)

RE: Mountain Towing

:h I think we ought to describe what "mountain towing" is. Like what type of grades and what duration. Always, seldom?

RE: Ram Laramie 5.7 HEMI towing MGP

between 8 and 9, closer to 8. Now we are getting into the ball park!

RE: Leaving the RV World for a while

Sigh, my baby daughter will turn 47 this year. :E However come 1 Oct we will be heading for that full hook up she has for us beside her house in SC. :)

RE: Overtight weight distribution brackets bent frame....

Dayum, with a little more effort whoever did that could have just driven that bolt through the frame side and would have had nothing to worry about then. :S Me, since i am not the guy skilled in that kind of metal work, would take it to a shop and say straighten this thing up and make sure it is as strong as it was when new. Who knows, maybe it has been run that way for years, but I would have it repaired for peace of mind since I am a worry wart. Since we are keyboard warriors here, I do not "see" a deep corrosion problem. Hey I thought they were spose to be rusty when new on the lot. ;)

RE: Slide Out Making Banging Sound

After cogitating on this for a few days, could the clutch be slipping a notch? Clutch could have a slick spot on it =or=, more likely IMO, a "tight" spot that causes the clutch to slip. I'd check to see if it happens at the same spot each time. Measure the distance traveled, in and out, and see. Then check the slide to see if something's causing the bind. Lyle good thought there. So the next question would be if the Noise is exactly the same as when the clutch slips?

RE: Winterize or Not

Be careful about automatically assuming they are made in the US.

RE: black plastic waste pipe

I have never seen or heard of a glue in waste valve before? Mine have always been the undo the four bolts and slip the new one in there. :h Something new every day.

RE: Help with water leak

HMMMMMMMM, may be getting closer to the source here. Just because your other RV slide did not leak would not mean that this one doesn't?

RE: Help with water leak

Have you checked to see if water is getting under/pooling on the slide roof? Maybe I am off base and do not understand your layout. just a thought.

RE: Class A stuck next to house!

I can't stand under the buried utilities issue. I guess you did not damage them when you got stuck? If not, put a slab down, and don't worry any more... As previously stated, I have never had a thought about paving over utilities. Adding aggregate as it compacts down may just put undo pressure on what ever utility is in contention.

RE: Black Water Tank Missing Capacity

If it ain't broke why mess with it. As Richard Rawlings says, let her rip tader chip. :W

RE: Best Solvent To Remove RV Window & Roof Caulk?

I do like Drew. My thought is that if it is so difficult to take off, it must be good to go.

RE: alternator

If you want to try the repair route first, why not yank the bad bearing, it should have a number on it to identify it for replacement?
