RE: Generator for full time use in destination trailer.

Will your house have electric service? Assuming so, get a temporary construction drop/panel and use that to power your trailer, etc. while building. Drew has the answer. That is exactly what I did from 15 March until just before turkey day.

RE: Best mouse trap?

A hungry cat.Or even a not-so-hungry cat. They love to torture mice, evil critters that they are (the cat, that is). yep when I read abut poisoning, I immediately thought of ole Socks (our beloved cat). He is over weight, but still has room for an occasional mouse. :E

RE: Battery switch

Wrong, the battery switch has nothing to do with trailer brakes. Trailer brakes are not wired through the switch. Mine are. X2

RE: Question on winter storage and Onan 5500

I don't know specifically about your genny carb. Most of my small engines have a drain plug on the carb. If so the drain plug will allow for complete drainage of the carb as opposed to letting the motor starve out for gas. JMHO

RE: Long term storage

I always just leave good enough alone also. however i do have electricity in the pole barn. So i turn the batt off and keep a tender on the batt. Why power the whole trailer just to keep the batts charged?

RE: Are other drivers killing your RV experience?

Yester-years drivers our age today thought the same thing about us back then. Bingo, if you start talking about the new way of things vs how great it was in the old days, it usually just means you are old. Next you'll be complaining about these young kids who don't walk uphill both ways barefoot in the snow to school. This post was my pick of the litter. :B i will never see 76 again. The good lord willing and the creeks don't rise I will be stocking up on antifreeze at Benny's this winter. OH and BTW, the thing I like the most about Myrtle is that it has a bypass.

LR E tow vehicle tire comparison

I hvve been running Firestone Trans Force tires on the rear of my F250. Gonna put on new before hitting the road this winter. Any recommendations on more highly rated tires for the rears. Highway tread only.

RE: Reverse Polarity code When Plugging in at Home

Bpbbo, If you hare some elcheapo HF volt ohm meters laying around already, won't they suffice for the testing?

RE: What discount to expect on special-ordered truck?

to me it is how many bucks out the door (OTD). I never mess around with all that book cooking. Oh a good thought on the X Plan. Got mine that way, no book cooking and the price will be the same where ever you order.

RE: Should I consider an onboard air pump??

I think time2roll has the answer. BTW, I use one of the elcheapo 12V air pumps that plugs into the 12V outlet in the truck. Air them up on hook up and you are good to go.
