RE: Looking at class c questions on maintenance

We have found that our local car dealers do not want to do RVs. We have found that shops that do trucks will usually be willing.
If we are travelling, we ask the campground where to go -- most of them know a place. We have found a local shop that is good but we call ahead to make sure they have a big enough bay available for us.
There are a number of places that I wouldn't ask because I don't think I could get the rig through their parking lot.

RE: Burlington, VT to Nigara Falls, can.

401 does not go to Niagara Falls. You have to make your way to the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) sometime after you pass Toronto. 403 is probably the best bet. The whole trip from about Oshawa to Hamilton is urban. Avoid 407 as it is the most expensive toll road on the continent.
And 401 across Toronto is the worst expressway for congestion that we have been on.
I would probably take the N Y Thruway from where you are.

RE: Winterizing

My sequence is
Isolate water heater tank.
Add suction hose by water pump and change the valve there to the hose. put hose in pink fluid.
Back inside, turn on pump. Open cold tap closest to water heater (Kitchen sink for me) and run until pink flows. Repeat with cold tap.
Do other taps -- shower, bathroom sink, toilet.
Go outside and drain black and gray tanks. Close drains.
Add a bit of pink to all the drains, just to make sure.
Drain Fresh water tank. Take off suction hose and change valve.
Drain water heater.
You will have to change the bottle of pink once or twice during this.

RE: Umbilical cord markers/reminders

I use those plastic clamps that are like spring clothespins. And a key tag label. I put it on the driver's visor when stopped and clamp it to the hose or power cord or whatever when I store it.
I also have tags for propane, refrigerator, furnace, TV aerial, cable TV, water heater, and back door.
