RE: Gray Water not empty, only 1 gate valve

Buzzcut was right, there is only 1 tank for both grey and black. (bummer for me) Here's what I found, the grey water 1 1/2" line was blocked just past the shower drain. I snaked down from the vent on top (was plugged due to previous owner not replacing the vent cover and leaves and debris blocked the line) I did install a new vent cover when I acquired the camper. I flushed the line thoroughly with pressure and found pieced of white plastic, (old broken vent cover??) leaves, dirt in the flush water. Everything drains well now. Strange that the indicator Tank 1 and Tank 2 both show empty now??? Thanks for the help.

RE: Gray Water not empty, only 1 gate valve

Thanks for all the thoughts...Haven't had time to test all the theories, I will try tomorrow and post the results. Yes there are 3 electronic tank indicators Fresh water, grey water and black water. Still baffled over 1 gate valve. I'm not ready to pull up the floor to check the tanks. I did shine a flashlight into the empty 3" drain, nothing I could see, I will do the same again with a telescoping mirror. Crappy job!

RE: Gray Water not empty, only 1 gate valve

Manufacturer: Six-Pac Campers; Freshwater capacity: 40 gal Std. window covering(s): Pleated shades Gray-water capacity: 38 gal Stove: 2 burners Waste-water capacity: 38 gal Oven: N/A Water-heater capacity: Std 6 This description makes it sound like Grey and Black are separate.

RE: Gray Water not empty, only 1 gate valve

Yes thanks, the locking access door to the hook-up is really small, just fits the bayonet end of the hose and my hand to attach up, really a lame design. I have already modified plenty inside, maybe I should cut a bigger access door. Still no posts whether I have 1 or 2 tanks. Anyone know?

RE: Gray Water not empty, only 1 gate valve

Yes, this is the manual I have. Black water not overflowing into the shower drain when full. Must have a flapper valve in-between to separate the 2 tanks. When I get home I will flush and empty the Black water tank, open the cap and valve. Fresh water into sink should flow out w/o backing up???

RE: Gray Water not empty, only 1 gate valve

I don't have access to the tank to sound, buried under the floor, Since Six-Pac is no longer in business I would appreciate input from anyone with a similar experience. Thank you

RE: Gray Water not empty, only 1 gate valve

Thanks for the recommendation, information about the grey water waste is not in my owners manual or the single valve operation procedure. Just states 2 - 38 gal holding tanks. The electronic g/w tank indicator may be faulty but, the tank does not seem to have the 38 gal capacity as indicated. (floor drain in shower overflows)

Gray Water not empty, only 1 gate valve

2007 six-pac D650 cabover, do you have any information regarding the 38 gal gray water tank, I have only one gate valve for the black water holding tank, the gray water tank does not have a separate gate valve and the g/w electronic indicator still registers full. Not sure if tank is empty after dumping? Do you have similar problem?
