RE: Bad Water Smell

If you leave untreated water (no chlorination) it will go bad quickly. I drain mine and flush with vinegar.

New hitch

Been towing for several years with a Pull Superglide and switched to the Andersen Ultimate Pullrite: was hard to hook and unhook unless level and lined up perfectly Had a lot of chucking on bad roads Heavy as all get out to remove and reset Andersen: Breeze to hook up and in hook Very smooth ride Take it out with one hand and store in the basement Why oh why did I wait so long As with anything, your mileage may vary!

RE: Laura evacuation.

State of Texas sent two C 130 to Port Arthur to pick up the recalcitrant ones who had not evacuated. They left empty because no one showed up! SMH!

RE: Good plot, bad language

Spending more time indoors, as many are, I find myself watching more free movies on sites such as YouTube, Vudu and popcornflix. My particular likes are sci-fi and westerns. What annoys me is the usage of foul language,(not so much in Westerns) That permeates many movies today. It’s as if producers feel it’s necessary to attract viewers by using offensive language. Often, a sci-fi movie will have an interesting plot and then ruin it with the foul language. I wind up shutting it down usually, but sometimes I’ll wait to see if more cussing appears, then I will leave immediately.. I realize these film makers are only a reflection of society in general, so the trend won’t change. I hear foul language from both men and women virtually every day in my area. Too bad I can’t turn them off! :M Check out the old Rifleman episodes on YouTube. I am on season 4 after watching the old Have Gun Will Travel

RE: routee from Flagstaff, az to cotter, ark though Forests

Once you hit the Texas Panhandle and into Oklahoma you won’t see many trees at all, much less a forest!

No magic answer, the big three all have slightly different specs.

RE: Purchasing land to live on in DC area - zoning questions

Try Cherry Hiil RV for short term until you can find something permanent I've already indicated I am not interested in parks and Cherry Hill is the very last item on my list, they don't have have monthly rates. It's a place to stay if you stop in town for 3 days and wanted to be close to everything. Definitely not what I am looking for. I stayed there for 18 months in a monthly rate, so yes they do. You may not like it or the price but they do have monthly rates!

RE: Without getting political....

I have to say I didn’t miss the Nascar races that have happened since they said the National Anthem can be protested. I think some have lost the plot for why there is a National Anthem. I can go back to protesting NFL as well. Time will tell if all sports including NCAAF will be protested. For me, it’s simple ... protest any time except during the National Anthem. There are already college athletes (Oklahoma State) protesting because the coach wore a shirt from OAN to go fishing!

RE: Lightest slider hitch?

We just bought a 2020 SRW Ram 3500 mega cab (the cab is a godsend with 3 kids), and it only came in a short bed. With five of us riding in the truck and the desire to pull a decent sized toy hauler payload is an issue. Considering my concerns about payload and the constraints of a short bed, can anyone tell me what the best lightweight options are for slider hitches? Go Andersen and you won’t need a slider . And it’s going to be lighter then any other hitch. Ditto

RE: BIL with Superglide drops his trailer

During the summer, I hooked with my Superglide, did a test pull, then pulled out of the park. I had to stop and start at the gate then at a red light. Drove 2 miles stopped and started again, then drove 43 miles to the exit I was taking when my fiver came loose landing in the bed of the truck. I have not figured out what went wrong but I now have an Andersen

RE: And Texas Caves In

There are no credible doctors or scientists that think the reopening of the sates is a prudent idea . The idea that you go back to "normal" is truly idiotic. Although people are pissed about the hunkering down most will listen to logic and those that won't will join the statistics. Well like Willie Nelson said “ there’s more old drunks than there are old doctors. So I guess I’ll have another round”

RE: The camping industry is going to be hit hard

China locked down their country hard for approx. 2-3 months. How this lockdown affected their economy remains to be seen. But, one thing's for sure, China's Covid-19 stats are in stark contrast to those in the US. The Covid-19 death rate in the US (as of yesterday) is approx. 30 times higher per capita than China. China is clearly on the downside of their "curve", while the US is still trying to flatten it. Our death rate will continue to get even worse, while China's (barring further outbreaks) will only get better. Very sobering contrast. For those who propose we open up the economy (reduce social distancing and sheltering-in-place) while we're just starting to flatten the curve should let the disparity of the above death rates sink in a bit more. On a side-note, China manufactures a large percentage of US consumer products, not to mention many of the sub-components used in auto, trucks, RV's, etc. that are "made" in the US. It'll be interesting to see if China's lockdown (and subsequent drop in economic activity) affects the US supply chain in the coming months. But the big question is Do you believe China in their reporting. I do not!
