RE: bypass switch just inside door for house batteries
thanks for your unexpected offer. I probably couldn't call until later Sunday due to my wife's med problems. I will test the battery charge in the am to see if any charge with the new cable.
don't know what your Sunday schedule is and allowing for time zone difference would I text to see if you are available to talk. thanks very much! chuckYes text me. Two hours difference. I’ll be in church this morning.
RE: Ryobi 2300 generator keeps overloading
Your converter will draw a lot at the beginning because it’s trying to charge your batteries. The TV may be on an inverter circuit that you have shut off.
RE: Installing a reverse switch in a Fantastic-Fan
It might work OK either way. Fan blades are designed to be there in one direction. Might try just reversing the wires and see what happens. See how well it moves air in the other direction.
RE: Meter
Probably not too abnormal. Keep the RPMs up very high when you’re going up a steep hill also if your radiators a bit dirty it can cause an increase in temperature. If the engine coolant hasn’t been changed in the last 3 to 5 years that can aggravate the situation.Mine is done the same thing on steep hills. The important thing is to keep the engine RPM up high very high to keep the water circulating good.
RE: Question on Hydraulic Fluid
For the slides a clear hydraulic fluid would be best in case it leaked inside the rig before the landing gear should not make much difference. Any good loyal label as hydraulic Would be fine.
RE: Help getting fridge to run while underway
My fridge automatically switches to Propane when I am not on shore power. It also runs on propane when my big engine is running. Don’t exactly know what yours is supposed to do but I suspect that the operation should be similar. Most RVs that I know of operate that way like mine. If you call me I will help you over the phone to troubleshoot.
RE: Magnum inverter/battery issue
System does not have to be reset after replacing the batteries. I need to get a meter or an electrical guy to help you troubleshoot the charger part of the inverter. I have the same magnum 2000 inverter charger but I do not know the effect without the temperature sensor. I have to go back and re-read your post what did you replace the house batteries after this incident or before? If you have a meter or someone with a meter I can help you troubleshoot over the phone. Please call me if you have any questions. I am more than happy to help and I am a professional electrical/electronic troubleshooter.
