RE: Phoenix area shop to install steps such as Mor-Ryde?

Try Southwest RV in Glendale. They are an honest good family business. I recommend them highly. They are located around Bell Road and 63rd Ave. Good folks. They have done a lot of work for me.

RE: 97 Fleetwood Southwind Storm Chassis/house battery wiring

Can you find a mobile tech electrically oriented that can help you troubleshoot? I can try and help you over the phone. Where are you physically located?

RE: Dometic Fridge stopped working in cold weather? Ideas?

You could try reseating all of the connections on the board. Taking each one off one at A time and put it back on. See what that does.

RE: Problems with Dometic Duo Therm thermostat locking up

If I were you, I would call Dometiic and see what they say. It could be in the board, the cable and or the thermostat itself. I would start by resetting all connections on the board and the thermostat. If it happens mostly at night during the cold temperatures you might even have a cold solder joint on the board. Maybe you could find a mobile RV tech that could shed some light on that problem. Otherwise, you probably can only troubleshoot by replacement which means it could be expensive. Personally, I would start by reseating All connections on the board and the thermostat first.

RE: GFCI at shore power tripping

Added comment. If the RV is wired correctly they play very nice with GFCI ‘s. Jerry Parr

RE: GFCI at shore power tripping

I am a professional electrical troubleshooter. A good troubleshooting rule is to go back to the last place you were. So disconnect the heating element completely and try it again. Let us know the results and we can go from there. You may call me and I can help you over the phone. Please don’t chase symptoms all over the place because you might accidentally introduce another fault and then you really won’t know what happened.

RE: Hydraulic leak on room slideout

If the oil is coming out from the rod seal you could remove the cylinder and have a hydraulic shop replace the seal.

RE: I need some help-PLEASE

You might try calling Cummins factory direct They may have somebody there that can shake the bushes for you. Might also find a Cummins factory rep who can help.

RE: Washer/Dryer combos

I have use mine full-time for 16 years and just love it. I would not be without it. It is so convenient. My neighbors are always running to the laundromat while I sit outside drinking coffee and visiting. It is one of the best thanks I have in my motorhome.

RE: Converting a travel trailer to all 120/240 volt electric

My neighbors fifth wheel has all been converted over and he just loves it. It is now a park model. The plumbing was even changed to residential. His rig is now permanent in an RV park.

RE: Water/snow weight concerns

It might be a problem depending how much water is accumulated up there. Water weighs approximately 8 pounds per gallon or 64 pounds per cubic foot. You might want to consider putting a hole in the tarp so the water can drain out rather than a tarp becoming a swimming pool.

RE: Diluted RV Antifreeze

Let us know the results of your test. It probably already comes 50-50 so measure carefully and let us know.

RE: GFCI not cooperating with me

Did it work OK before? And maybe something is plugged in to that circuit downstream that’s causing the ground fault.

RE: New problem

I deleted the post because my voice was not interpreted properly. Also edit was giving me Fits. When in re-tract Mode place a board like a 2 x 6 on edge and pry each foot up. One of them may just be off a little. You might also lubricate the ram when it is down.
