RE: Tire Replacement Question

Check the manufacture date marked on the tire. You are probably not going to wear your tires out but will need to replace them due to age/rot. A year or more setting in a warehouse is less useful time for you.

RE: Signs of Cognitive Decline

Auto Pilot! Wife worked in Nashville. At lunch they would mot often take her car. They would most often arrive at one destination or other, they did not really intend to go. Like a horse, it almost seemed the car decided that was were it was supposed to go!One thing about a well trained horse he heads for home, while you relax in the saddle or buggy...unless.. I have den it too. headed for a destination with business on my mind and ended up at a frequent destination, but not the one intended. When my Father-in-law was young and dating, his horse took the buggy home to the wrong girl's house.

RE: Do you regret getting rid of your RV cornices?

I removed ours last fall. They interfered with fully opening closet doors. Will see if they are missed this camping season. I doubt it. Bedroom is brighter without them. Cannot put them up again because they were destroyed getting 'em off.

RE: Moles

I had a classic car in winter storage in a barn.I put bars of Irish Spring on the floors and in the trunk. The mice ate 'em! In the spring there were odd shapes of soap bars left. The mouse poop didn't smell bad though. Mice were storing dog food in Daughters basement dresser so Daughter put in moth balls to keep them away. Mice took the moth balls away and continued to haul in dog food. Mice use dryer sheets for bedding. For the moles that build hills, I open the hill to find their hole. Then insert a funnel with a short hose attached. Then I pour in some ammonia and some bleach, about a quarter cup each. BEING CAREFUL TO KEEP THEM SEPARATE until in the hole!!!! Combined the bleach and ammonia make a poison gas.

Painted the inside of storage

I painted the inside of the storage compartments white or off white. Any light color will be an improvement over black. It makes them much lighter inside so better to see what's in there. The downside is that any imperfections show really well. I guess that's why the factory paints 'em black.

RE: Tearing down an RV safely

Strip the inside. Remove the outer skin and insulation. Add a lit match. There shouldn't be enough heat from what little wood is in the framing to warp the steel frame.

RE: Adding a new 120 vac circuit and outlet

"maintain positive pressure in all conditions" Until they don't. With repeated changes in temperature and humidity they WILL fail.

RE: Campgrounds north Grey, Bruce County's Ontario?

Would calendar week, or mid week to mid week, reservations be easier to get, fit the reservation system better?

Campgrounds north Grey, Bruce County's Ontario?

We are considering a week or so poking around in the northern Grey and Bruce County's area of Ontario Canada next August. Any info. on good or bad campgrounds would be appreciated. We are just two old folks so we don't need the kids stuff.

RE: Ideal RV space size for new park?

A couple years ago we put in an addition with 35'x 65' sites and some 35'x 80' pull thru sites. In the planning stage many said the sites were too big. It was surprising to me how full a site got with a camper, slide-out, tent, screen room, room around a fire pit, and one or two vehicles. There was discussion that the sites must be angled to get into them but If you can go from a 20' wide road to a 20' drive then you should be able to go from a 20' drive into a 35' campsite. We did not angle. The length of the pull-thru's is nice. Not necessary to move TV or dolly.
