RE: Help needed. moving a 5th wheel with badly cracked frame

Maybe find someone that can temporarily weld it enough so you can move it.

RE: Propane smell inside to best diagnose?

Where to start? Other methods beside soapy water? Thanks! I lit match... NO DO NOT USE A MATCH!! I was actually stupid enough to use a match once... I found the leak! Didn't realize propane was that flammable. A dead decaying mouse can smell pretty bad.

RE: Toyo tires

When I got my Toyos the installer put 110psi in them without my knowledge. The thing rode like a rock. After I found they were at 110 I checked the Toyo web site and it actually said to use the Michelin inflation chart which stated for my weight I should run 95 front and 85 rear. Rides nice now.

RE: Steps acting up again

The gear box on mine keeps getting stuck. I remove it, open it up and clean out the old grease and add new.

RE: Refrigerator is dead

2.9 volts is your problem. No need to check anything else. Find where lost your 12V and repair and you will be back in business. Could be a rodent munched a wire.

RE: Break down

I took a wrong turn in San Antonio once and ended up in a bad neighborhood. A kind older gentleman came up and said, "Your lost aren't you." He promptly pointed me to the fastest way out and as I was driving off he said, "Be safe."

RE: Our most used adapters when towing with an Electric Vehicle.

Well at least you got a place to hang out in while you are waiting for it to charge.

RE: Portable 12k BTU Installed In Toy Hauler

I tried one of those and ran into 2 problems. One was the condensation. It filled a bucket with water every day. If I forget to dump the bucket I had a flood inside the motorhome. The second was the air that gets discharged outside has to come from somewhere. It drew in so much hot outside air in through every vent and hole it pretty much defeated the purpose.

RE: Got the insurance money but I can't I do this myself?

I felt guilty once when I cashed the insurance check and did the work myself until I realized it doesn’t mater who gets the labor money as long as the labor is done. Your time is worth something too. If you are able to do it, Do it.

RE: Should I use caulk with a T-style door holder?

Just squirt a little silicone in the screw hole before inserting the screw. No need to Calk all around the latch.

RE: Making my onboard generator quieter

The title of this post is deceiving. The difference is insignificant. Not worth the money as far as I can tell. My Generac 65G is pretty quiet. It is mounted wrong and resonates through the chassis which makes it louder inside than outside.

RE: Best 22.5 tire for 22,000 lb motor home?

Replaced my Michelins with Toyos. I likes the Michelins better but not the $600 difference better.

RE: Stolen Catalytic Converter

On my 2002 chassis there are no 02 sensors after the converter so the engine won't have a clue something is different. If anything it might pickup some top end power from less restriction, better flowing exhaust. If you replace the converters with straight pipes the mufflers are still in place so noise is not a factor.

RE: Sikaflex 221 for side mounted fridge vent?

My RV manufacturer used pure silicone on all joints 19 years ago and it has never failed. I have resealed items I have replaced with 100% silicone and have never had a problem. I do the painters tape deal and it looks perfect.

RE: Storing With or Without Full Gas Tank

Non ethanol fuel (no alcohol) would be ideal, if you can find it.
