RE: Fridge Issues

I agree with ticki2. Sometimes soot and chunks of rust can fall from the chimney down on to the burner and disrupt the flame.

RE: AC tripping generator

Make sure EVERYTHING else in the RV is OFF. I know I was running my 2 ACs off 30 amps once when suddenly the breaker tripped. Turns out the Refrigerator kicked in.

RE: Source for HWH R2365 springs ??

I wipe mine down once in a while with a paper towel sprayed with WD-40. I also got springs from either Amazon or Ebay...Don't remember which.

RE: A/C blower motor question..

I would check AO brand motors. The other Cap is probably for the compressor. I wouldn't think they need to be replaced.

RE: Power Steps Not Working

Twice with mine in the last 20 years, the grease in the gear box dried up. I had to clean out the old grease and install fresh.

RE: Dipping my fuel tank

Found my problem getting full to my generator. Bad fuel line. I'm lower then a 1/4 tank of fuel so I think it's a good time. Has anyone ever pulled the tank if so what im I getting in to? Pros and cons If you are lower that 1/4 tank, that's your problem. The generator will not pick up fuel from a tank that is lower than 1/4.

RE: My 23 year old Dometic fridge pukes yellow stuff...

23 years is fantastic. I am on my 3rd cooling unit on my 20 year old unit.

RE: Fabric ceilings

I was concerned that applying too much moisture would release the adhesive and cause mine to sag. The kitchen area was quite a mess with the grease and such from cooking. It looked like stalagmites. I used simple green in a spray bottle and a damp rag. Was able to clean the surface without soaking it through. Worked like a champ. Neck and shoulders took a beating though.

RE: Propane smell inside trailer...how to best diagnose?

Where to start? Other methods beside soapy water? Thanks! I lit match... NO DO NOT USE A MATCH!! I was actually stupid enough to use a match once... I found the leak! Didn't realize propane was that flammable. A dead decaying mouse can smell pretty bad.

RE: Toyo tires

When I got my Toyos the installer put 110psi in them without my knowledge. The thing rode like a rock. After I found they were at 110 I checked the Toyo web site and it actually said to use the Michelin inflation chart which stated for my weight I should run 95 front and 85 rear. Rides nice now.

RE: Steps acting up again

The gear box on mine keeps getting stuck. I remove it, open it up and clean out the old grease and add new.

RE: Refrigerator is dead

2.9 volts is your problem. No need to check anything else. Find where you.ve lost your 12V and repair and you will be back in business. Could be a rodent munched a wire.

RE: Break down

I took a wrong turn in San Antonio once and ended up in a bad neighborhood. A kind older gentleman came up and said, "Your lost aren't you." He promptly pointed me to the fastest way out and as I was driving off he said, "Be safe."

RE: Portable 12k BTU Installed In Toy Hauler

I tried one of those and ran into 2 problems. One was the condensation. It filled a bucket with water every day. If I forget to dump the bucket I had a flood inside the motorhome. The second was the air that gets discharged outside has to come from somewhere. It drew in so much hot outside air in through every vent and hole it pretty much defeated the purpose.

RE: Got the insurance money but I can't I do this myself?

I felt guilty once when I cashed the insurance check and did the work myself until I realized it doesn’t mater who gets the labor money as long as the labor is done. Your time is worth something too. If you are able to do it, Do it.
