RE: Got the insurance money but I can't I do this myself?
I felt guilty once when I cashed the insurance check and did the work myself until I realized it doesn’t mater who gets the labor money as long as the labor is done. Your time is worth something too. If you are able to do it, Do it.
RE: Making my onboard generator quieter
The title of this post is deceiving. The difference is insignificant. Not worth the money as far as I can tell.
My Generac 65G is pretty quiet. It is mounted wrong and resonates through the chassis which makes it louder inside than outside.
RE: Stolen Catalytic Converter
On my 2002 chassis there are no 02 sensors after the converter so the engine won't have a clue something is different. If anything it might pickup some top end power from less restriction, better flowing exhaust. If you replace the converters with straight pipes the mufflers are still in place so noise is not a factor.
RE: Sikaflex 221 for side mounted fridge vent?
My RV manufacturer used pure silicone on all joints 19 years ago and it has never failed. I have resealed items I have replaced with 100% silicone and have never had a problem. I do the painters tape deal and it looks perfect.
RE: 2003 Workhorse W22 running horrible
Pull your dip stick and smell the oil. If it smells like gas you are running rich. That could probably be the fuel pressure regulator (the fuel damper you mentioned). It is an easy fix.
RE: Dometic not working on ac
That doesn't make much sense. The Check Light will only light when there is no AC and the burner does not light. Sounds like your board is bad.
Also if you do have 120V on the element and it is not open (44ohms) it should be ice cold. Does the chimney fell hot. Is so your element is working and it should be cooling
