Circut breaker question

My granddaughter who lives in Las Vegas has a travel trailer with one A/C. she bought another A/C to plug in in the trailer but it tripped the circuit breaker on 30 amp. If she used an adapter and plugged into 50amp would that cause damage to the trailers electrical system.

RE: Generator theft.

My RV as been stored there since 2005 and this is the first ptoblem at the facility that I am aware of. Someone bumped my mirror a few years ago but didn't do any damage except bumpin it out of adjustment.

Generator theft.

Has anyone heard of the generator stolen out of a motor home? I had a call from my storage facility yesterday telling me something about the motor home next to mine tampered with and that they checked mine and one of the basement doors was ajar, they said they checked all other doors and main door al all was ok.. I went out today and the lock on the generator door had been pried open. The key wouldn't work, I finally fixed it and locked the door. I'll go back out tomorrow and check further. I checked all the other basement doors also. There were a couple scratches on the lock where they had pried on it. I have had a motor home there since 2005, no problem

RE: Garmin GPS

I have a Garman 660 and love it. This is my third Garman. Would like to have a 770 but can't justify it.

2003 National Tradewinds

Two years ago I traded my 203 National Tradewinds for a 2013 Newmar Canyon Star at the FMCA Rally in Indio. I have often wondered who ended up with the Tradewinds. I loved it and regretted. I had to part with it. It had a strange quirk and I told the dealer about it and I may have solved the problem before I turned it in. A couple or three times I would be driving along and attempt to make a left turn and the steering would lock up. I would continue straight and at the next right it usually completer the turn. I was told it was the Mitre box steering and replaced that before I turned it in. I didn't want someone to buy it and something happen. If the dealer left all the records in the Tradewinds the new owner would know, I doubt they did, sometimes dealers can be a little shady. I bought the Tradewinds in 2002 at a show in Sacramento, Ca. Loved it. I also replace the house batteries and tires.

RE: Which route

Do you just want to avoid the one toll stretch of I-44 from the OK/ MO state line to OKC? Or avoid interstates altogether? There are almost always good US highways somewhat paralleling the interstates that are more scenic but typically slower due to going thru towns with reduced speed limits and traffic lights. But that is the preferred way to travel by many. I was mainly curious because the GPS asked me if I wanted to avoid tolls. Also wondered if it was a more scenic route.

Which route

We have been in Old St Charles, Mo. since Aug. 1 and will be heading home to Ca. by way of Bakersfield . Have always taken the route through Tulsa and Okie city catching I 40. My GPS asks if I wanted to avoid toll roads. I never have and has been no problem but wonder if any of you have taken the route avoiding Toll and if it is better.

RE: Diminshed Value Claims

If it was repaired satisfactorily be thankful and forget it. Most pre owned vehicles have been damaged at some time. When I traded my last RV in I didn't even think to tell anyone that a basement door were damaged the first week I owned it and a couple times after that.

RE: Miles per day.

How old are you? I have been a road warrior since the 1960s. Even in slow old cars a normal day was 600-700 miles. If we were in a hurry 1,000 miles. Now cars go much faster, but I am near 70 and like 250-300 miles at the most. I'm 86 years old, only been at it since 2001. Recently switched from diesel to gas.

Miles per day.

How many miles do you normally drive per day and what is the most miles driven ? I normally try to do 400 t0 450 per day. A week ago today I did over 600 miles. Not by choice but due to circumstances, long story thanks to flooding in the Midwest. GPS had me on highway 2 in Kansas and all at once the road was closed at the Missouri River then the fun began.

RV park rates

we have used the same RV park three times before and got the monthly rate but this time the said they couldn't give us the monthly but would give us the weekly rate which makes us paying twice the amount. In my business I couldn't and wouldn't price gouge. There are no other RV parks available in the area and we have to be there on business. Our club has used the same RV Resort in Ca. for years which included the use of the club house. This year they informed us the club house would be $40.00 an hour the park is under new ownership. Apparently the same owners bought another RV park we use and starting next year will charge a daily rate for use of club house which means we will not be using those two RV parks for our club.

RV parks on 80 east

Headed for Missouri from Sacramento. Does anyone have recommendations for RV parks on 80 ? I'd prefer going 40 but the weather may be cooler the North route. I know it won't be cold either way.:B

RE: Sofa Removal

I have a Newmar Canyon Star 3953 and had the recliner as well as the ugly uncomfortable couch removed and replaced with two comfortable recliners with a table between them, great move, glad I had it done. Had to take couch apart then put it back together outside the motor home. My daughter now has the couch and recliner in her living room.
