RE: Bought a second truck. Front shocks. :S Its apparent that the previous owner spared no expense when it came to buying parts and hiring the best mechanics. LOL The nail to keep the caliper from rattling is priceless. :B Looks like new brake hoses are due too. Yeah, really:B

RE: window caulk

Amazon has Geocel in white. They don't sell white in California just clear Do you know anyone that lives outside of CA? Have them order it and then ship it to you in CA.

RE: pocket knife

Grew up on a dairy farm, and always carried a pocket knife for opening bales of hay, bags of fertilizer, etc. Would have never ever thought of carrying it to school or later in life to a bar or club. I can remember when it was legal to travel/fly with a pocket knife under 3” long. Still own a couple of nice pocket and fixed blade knives. Smokey Mountain Knife Company is always a great place to visit when in the area.

RE: Bought a second truck.

If you got time throw another hose clamp on each end of the rad hoses. Two is always better than one and gives you a spare in case one let's go. Seriously???????:R

RE: Making A Warmer Truck Camper Bed

Use HyperVent under the mattress to prevent moisture and mold in your mattress.

RE: Trailer Braking System Needs Servicing

DeOxit is better than WD-40. So is FluidFilm. I wouldn’t use Fluid Film on electric connections. Clean the connection with DeOxit and then use dielectric grease to keep out moisture and corrosion.

RE: Purchasing Warped Roof 1997 Bigfoot 2500 9’6”?

On page 5 the OP inspected the camper and found extensive water damage and moved on. Why is this still being discussed?:h

RE: Bought a second truck. Correct color engine paint, transfer case bushings, battery hold down, correct red + battery cable and the glove box light and switch. I can't wait until next week when I get to start working on the old truck again. It may never be pretty but its going to be road worthy and dependable. You know that if you just bought a new truck it would have come with all of the above, no assembly required.:S

RE: New polar cub Mach 8 AC and the Honda eu2000i question

Back years ago I installed a piece of 1/4" tubing from the intake assembly into one of the intake tubes, drilled a hole in the bottom of the 2000 next to the bowl drain tube.... After my 2000 has sat for a while and won't start after a couple of pulls I just squirt starter fluid up that external tube and the 2000 starts after the 1-2nd pull.. I did this to a couple of buds 2000's too... A life saver. Jim Starter fluid/either can be deadly for an engine. It can literally blow the ring lands right off a piston.

The rust on the anchors are normal for powder coating, my 2015 AF had rust on the anchors and it has never seen winter weather. I sanded them, applied Rustoleum primer and Rustoleum white paint. What truck are you going to load the camper on?

RE: New polar cub Mach 8 AC and the Honda eu2000i question

The round run / off dial selector when turned to the off position shuts off the fuel supply. How? The device is described as a switch. To cut off fuel, one needs a valve. Is it both? The round run/off dial when turned to off, shuts off the fuel supply and shorts out the spark plug lead. So adding the remote kill switch allows it to run out of fuel. You don't even need to use the switch. Just let it run out of fuel. Approx 2-3 minutes. On a side note. I am reading some posts from many years ago that state that there is some fuel left in the carb bowl after running the gen to stall. I may have a look on mine. Always remove the side panel and drain the carburetor via the drain screw, to eliminate any gasoline in the carburetor bowl.

RE: Truck of the Year

I don’t know about Truck of the Year, but they are pretty impressive. Watch the Apple TV series called the Long Way Up and you can watch two Rivian’s in action.
