RE: Hats Off to Marcus Lemonis

Minor question. Did the ordinance size predate the hoisting of the flag, or was it the other way around?

Kudos to Marcus.

I thought I had posted this before, but its gone. Anyway, I saw you on FNC the other day, and congratulations for defending your rights and the American Flag. Good for you.

Change to Lithium-ion?

In the Hot Rod world, there is a movement to the Lithium-ion battery as an alternative to the old lead-acid type. Looks like performance is superior, but so is the price. Has anyone changed either their house batteries or their chassis battery to Lithium-ion? Optima is one of the brands.

RE: 12 VDC loss

Aux battery switch in in the stepwell and has a small light next to it. Activating or deactivating always resulted in a solid thump. All fuses were checked visually with a flashlight first time around and them pulled and inspected second time around. All these issued resulted from one of the two house batteries dieing (propable internal short), killing all the 12 volts in a about 30 minutes or less.

12 VDC loss

No power in the cig lighter socket at the dinette table, no porch light, no stairwell light, and the aux battery switch no longer has loud switching noise. Checked all circuit breakers and fuses twice, nothing found. Any ideas?

RE: Dinghy

The advantage of a toad is that you park your rig, and use the taod for grocery runs, touring/fishing, etc. Great for National Parks and such. You will need a braking system.

RE: Best Class C sprinter if you had lots of money

We have our first RV and it works great for us (see description below). Only a few small problems. Only large problem was a failed EGR valve. We bought it used and it only had one owner.

Those dang mineral streaks

CLEANLINESS IS NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE ! Seriously, I have tried to scrub away the mineral streaks left by the rain, and particularly on the nose cone. I did not want to use anything abrasive, and tried a number of cleaners plus plenty of elbow grease. Today I tried out something new for this. A cleaner called "Awesome". I comes in a spray bottle, and I already found it does a good job cleaning carpets of stains like oil, soft drinks, etc. But, SURPRISE ! It cleans those mineral streaks with hardly any effort at all. I use the hard back of a sponge for scrubbing, and rinse it with clear water. Its available at the 99 cent store and the Superior Grocery store, but may be available elsewhere. Normal is a spray bottle but gallon refills are also available. My RV nosecone look better than ever.

RE: Broken/ leaking exhaust manifold bolts

The easiet solution is probably using an Eazy-Out. First you drill a pilot hole in the broken bolt then put the Eazy-Out which is threaded left-handed, tap lightly with a hammer, then turn it with a wrench to remove the broken bolt. Get yourself replacement hardware from ARP, which has the best product for strength.

RE: Dinghy Member Forum Input

Almost all states require a braking system to be added. Since they reduce your stopping distance, why would one not use one? Same thing with lights. Do you have a cable to power the brake and turn signal lights?

92 Fleetwood Souithwind - opinions

Local seller has a 92 Fleetwood Southwind (not sure of exact model/length) with a Chevrolet engine and Banks Power. It looks well maintained but has no upgrades from factory. Reefer is original, still has 2 tiny TV's, etc. Any opinions on this gem?
