RE: Who makes the shocks?

Tryed every where, auto parts, dexter, lippert , etrailer. That’s where I’m thinking a Jayco welded the upper bracket to the frame in the wrong place, that’s why I can’t find a shock that will fit. This might sound like a stupid question but have you tried jacking up the trailer by the frame?

RE: garmin 1090 goes to sleep

I have an old NUVI 1300 that I have had for years. A couple months ago I updated the maps and it has been doing this same thing ever since. It just randomly goes to sleep and I have to reach up and tap the power button. Doesnt lose any info or anything. It just pops back up like nothing happened.

RE: What's your mileage?

Chevy C3500 with mildly built 454 gas, and 5 speed manual pulling 35' 5th wheel with 3 slides. I average 4 MPG. Needless to say we dont travel very far from home.

RE: Lighter weight power cord

I dont really think this cord is any lighter than my factory cord but it is way mor flexible and a lot easier to handle. My old cord was like wrestling with an Anaconda and even worse when it got colder out. This new one rolls right up tight amazon 50 RV cord

RE: Question on Fantastic Fan

Turning ther fan switch to 0 should just turn off the fan. It should not affect the thermostats or the rain sensor. Thats the way mine function anyway, or at least the way they used to function. One of mine has a mind of its own now so I just pulled the fuse out of it. We rarely ever use them anyway. Its either AC or furnace for us.

RE: Rodent repellant

Isn't the best solution to find the points of entry? There should be none in a well built RV but at the worst there should only be a very few possibilities. We have stuffed every crevice we can find with steel wool. Our sliding door for the bedroom has wires going down through the far back of it right into the basement area. I cant find a way to get to it without damange and thats where i think they come in.

RE: Rodent repellant

We tried the peppermint oil a few years ago and had the worst year ever so we never tried it again. We tried the hedge apple in our basement once a long time ago to try getting rid of spiders and they just built webs right on top of them. LOL

Rodent repellant

Just opened up the trailer this morning from its long winter nap to check things over and start getting ready for camping season. I found one single mouse turd in a drawer. I have tried all of the gimmicks over the years in the boat and camper. Always found the best thing was just good ole Bounce dryer sheets. For the last 3 years I have been also using a product called Grandpa Gus's Mouse Pouches in addition to my dryer sheets and noticed that we didnt have any mouse **** at all. Last fall I decided to just use the mouse pouches. Same results. one single little turd is a victory to me. To give a little background my trailer is parked on a farm right by a machine shed full of farming equipment including a feed grinding mill, so mice and rats are a staple of the area. I have no affiliation to this company. Just thought I may be able to help out fellow RVers

RE: Winter Battery Storage

I just leave my trailer plugged in year round. Last battery survived 10 years. It is quite common to see -30F here in the winter
