RE: Downside to lower CO alarm?

Be careful about re-engineering what an Engineer has engineered.

RE: One jack not functioning AF811

I had to replace two of my jack motors last year. They quit working. You can just take it off and plug it into a different location. It is a very easy process and will take about 30 minutes. Good luck!

RE: Hit the scales again this morning, PERFECT!

Yep… I weighed mine the other day. 60 lbs below GVWR. I feel good about it.

RE: Stable Camper anti-rocking system

I just installed my Stablecamper rods this week and it certainly helps. They take out most of the wobble. I would spend the money again.

RE: Can't overcome the fear of buying a Truck and TC.......

My humble opinion is you don’t know what is right until you have a little experience. I personally purchased before I retired because that is when I had the excess monies. I first bought a Host Rainier double slide and enjoyed it. We wanted a little more room so we got a 5er. The 5er had too much room so I got an Eagle Cap 1165 triple slide and is fits very well. All along the way I was at even money with my purchases and sales.

RE: Question about a Ford F 350 Drw

I have a 2016 F350 DRW 4x4 Gas for my Eagle Cap 1165 Triple Slide. The truck is rated to carry 7700 lbs from the factory. I have a 4.30 rear end for pulling power in the hills. I put Torklift Stable Loads on the leaf springs and have Air Lift 7500s to help support the load. I have absolutely no problems. I also tow a 18’ pontoon about half the time. You must pick the right truck setup and you can likely carry any truck camper on the market. BTW - that 2016 F450 had less payload than the F350. Skimp now and pay later. Have a great time and be safe.

RE: Timbrens,airbags!

The trucking industry uses airbags. I think there is wisdom in following that lead.

RE: New F350 owner seeks TC information

What ever you do, don’t go cheap. Check for the amenities and utilities you want. It may push you price a little, but if it has what you want and need, it will be worth it. If you purchase a nice unit, you will be able to sell it for a good price when you are finished with it.

RE: Ford 6.2 gas vs 7.3 gas highway gas milage

I am running the 6.2 Dually with a 4.30 axle. I am able to stay right around 10 mpg. The axle gear has something to do with mpg. The bigger the number, the lesser the mpg. Like one guy said, I didn’t buy mine for mpg, I wanted better pull going up hill.
