RE: 5th wheel or bumper pull

Worse excuse ever IMHO! "First, we didn’t like the steps" Other reasons are understandable. Cummins 12V98 Along with full use of truck bed , lower overall height my barn has a 12 foot door. As for the steps to bed room and sometimes a small step 4 inch which the bed sits on. My wife one night in the dark and only half awake fell or tripped of the small ledge. That did it for us any more a flat floor plan from then on. No more fivers for us

RE: 1st time boondocking and could not get our AC to work

Are you running your generator in eco mode when trying to start the AC. My 2800/3100 champion would stall or overload most of the time if it was on Economy throttle. If I kick Eco. Off it will start my AC easily.

RE: Michigan & The Great Lakes bound, July 2019

Little more on the West Coast. From the south South Haven neat little town and a light house. Next Ludington more lighthouses , Badger a Lake Michigan people and car Ferry docks there. Pentwater and Silver Lake dunes. Further north Leelanau Peninsula a must see. Traverse City head up into the Peninsula and pick some sweet cherries. Mackinaw City Island take a ferry over to the island a take a step back in time. This is just the lower peninsula. The upper peninsula could take a couple more weeks

RE: Grand Design vs Jay Feather

Just took a quick look at the Jayco. Let’s see all the holding tanks are smaller. The GVW rating on the Jayco is 500 lighter. The GD has a bigger bed 80 inches long compared to Jayco at 74 and last there’s no kitchen counter space in the Jayco We own a GD 2500 RL and love it ., Very comfortable, and a great bathroom

RE: Lifting and handling heavy generators

https://i.imgur.com/Cr1U0cRl.jpg I use a hoist that goes in my Reciever and breaks down to store in my pickup bed . It uses a boat hand winch and easily lifts my 100 lbs. Champion 3100 generator. You can adjust the reach of boom and on the shortest setting I just winch up and swing the Genny right into my truck bed. I am satisfied with this setup and would buy again. Jeff K
