RE: New old ride

That's...a rather unusually large motorbike! Congratulations on the new RV! Hope it works out well for you. In terms of a toad, I would suggest giving some thought to what sorts of things you'd use the toad for. Many probably would suggest a Jeep, for example, but if you have no interest in going off road or on rough back roads it may not be the best option for you as the on-road handling is necessarily compromised to a greater or lesser degree when compared with many other vehicles. With a handle of ”Jeepman71” poster must be familiar with the ride. We just towed our Jeep Liberty out west and found it to be a great choice Easy to set up for towing. We are not big off-roaders but did enjoy riding fire lanes and other lesser used roads, some of which suggested 4x4 and high ground clearance for watching wildlife.

RE: Yes boys and girls, you REALLY need to carry a spare...

Bauer electric impact from Harbor Freight $90 about 1100 ft/pounds. Works great if you have a generator. It is hefty but that is why there is so little torque passed through the handle

RE: What air compressor do you carry?

Another Satisfied Vair user here. About 40’ of 1/4” air hose covers any situation.

RE: Jeep towed discharged when towing. This is new.

Towing a 04 Jeep Liberty with Blue Ox Patriot brake system, no charge line. With engine running back one click to turn engine off per manual. After two days of towing starts right up.

RE: Old School RVing

Look at the custom canopy on the first truck! Prolly one of the first full size 4wd pickups too. That 2nd one though looks like a 1/2 ton. The caravan probably all stopped there to tell him he was over his gvw, rawr and towing rating.... Don’t know about the trucks But it looks close to the bridges gvw

RE: Move to Motorhome

Our Leprechaun 260 DSF averages about 7.8 mpg. Keeping it closer to 62 It’s gotten up to 8.3. This is towing a Jeep.
